Thank you for making and posting this. Very nice. I wish you had made several of these, one for each section. As you quickly pass by those priceless items, most museums in the West would be honored to have them as center-piece of an entire exhibition hall. For example, the carving that shows the curly-hair black African man from Congo @17:30 (in Persepolis, he is bringing an elephant tusk and a live okapi to the king, and the okapi is found only in Congo. This is the "oldest known representation of a black African" anywhere in the world!! ) So sad, that there is so much art, archeology and history in Iran that everything is neglected unless it is "showy".... Oh well. One day, there will be modern museums, similar to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, or the British Museum in London, to give an entire section to each civilization--pre-history, Elamite, Median, .... etc etc.
If you mean the bust of Darius the Great from Egypt, it is in the video. Yes, in the museums of Iran, there are valuable ancient treasures with extreme beauty and elegance, which are unfortunately unknown in the world. I hope a day will come when people from all over the world will wait in line to visit Iranian museums like the Louvre museum.
@@Persian_traveller Thank you. I changed the writing. I had written that at the start, since I remembered the statue being on the outside. But you show it to be on the inside now. Please read the rest.
@@Persian_traveller I forgot: the new Louvre is wonderful; the old Louvre was as bad as this museum in Iran: everything thrown together in meaningless glass cabinets. They finally learned from the Americans to divide the museums into sections, and rotate the items for exhibition (not all at once)
Yes, I understand, it is definitely the same. As an Iranian, I would like to make a longer video of any work, but unfortunately, it is not accepted by the audience. On my Instagram page, I try to introduce each work with short videos.
I visited this place in 2006. It seems more comprehensive now, I see the Jiroft artifacts and generally it looks in better shape. Hopefully one day, we get our stolen artifacts back from Louvre and British Museum and many others, and put them on display here.
5,000 toman ? So basically free entrance then. I rather they charged more, and used the extra income to restore more the historical buildings across the city, maybe earthquake prone the museum, or even raise the salary of the museum staff. I bet the bigger price would attract more people, as it would be perceived to be more valuable

@@TWOCOWS1 Yes. The facilities of Iranian museums are also very old. Unfortunately, they were not updated
