Destroyer to answer your question. Havik can regrow his body parts because he himself rips them out. If it's by the hand of someone else it doesn't count as Havik's invulnerability and Havik can die.
Havik gained his power by Quan chi. He can rip apart his limbs and body to inflict harm on others, to then instantly grow them back. Although, like you said, if an outside force does it to him it doesn't seem to apply.
Doesn't he choose not to heal his face, though? A outside force caused that damage , but he just chose not to heal it because it gives him that air of chaos (he thinks he looks badass) . So with that knowledge, it would seem he can heal from damage others inflict on him just the same as he can from himself
Havik/Kano is such a smarter combo than the usual Havik/Cyrax. Kano lets Havik's game get WAY more confusing, since he's able to give Havik the space to use projectile to make the match weird. Cyrax is just "copter make the combo go brrrr." Havik doesn't need big combo. Just makes Havik a guy with pretty good normals and strings. Confusion makes openings easy to find. That's the cool shit. It's the gameplan Havik was born to use.
