So did I! And what a reward-- I learned an actual method for crocheting down the sides of a blanket. I never could get "crochet evenly" done very well, LOL. So very glad I watched the whole thing!
IT'S BEEN LONG TIME SINCE I CROCHETED AND NOW NEW GRANDBABY ARRIVING SOON. I CHOSE ONE EASY BABY BLANKET FOR BEGINNERS, LION BRAND MANDALA BABY NARNIA, ADDED MY OWN 3 ROWS OF EDGES THEN WENT TO EASY CROCHET BLANKET BORDER WITH PICOT EDGE STITCH. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I HAVE DONE ALL OF IT BY YOUR VIDEOS, BIT BY BIT. THANK YOU
I am making a similar blanket but without the cords. Didn't know how to finish. Saw this on your channel and decided to do it. I just subscribed to your channel as I was watching you tube on my tv and couldn't get notices and such. You are an awesome teacher. I'm 74 and crocheting for a long time and have actually learned a lot. Your instructions and repeats are so explicit so we can feel secure are great. Thank you..
Thank you Tiffany! I’m in the process of finishing up a baby blanket (Shells & Cords) for my new Great-great Niece that should be here some time in May 2023! I’ve been needing a different looking border for blankets for some time!! I really like this one and it’s so easy!! That really makes crocheting go fast!! Thanks again so much! ❤️ NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS
Hi Pamela! Thank you so so much! I really appreciate your compliment. I try to be in the shoes of the person who might be watching. It helps a lot with the way I explain things. So happy it you like it. 😊🧶🧡
Lovely border; thanks! Also, you did the best job of explaining how to crochet into the ends of the rows (down the sides of a blanket) I've ever seen. Much more specific than "crochet evenly."
Very nice border. She explains & shows steps clearly which helps a great deal. I’ve crocheted for 51 yrs & her explanation helped clarify a question or two I’ve had recur. Thank you!!!!!!!!
❤️❤️I am so happy you love the blanket you made Sharron!! I would love to see a picture of it. Feel free to email me at info@crochetwithTiffany.com 😊❤️🧶
Welcome to the crochet community!! I’m so excited for you to get into crochet. Can’t wait for you to dive into my videos. Definitely check out the Crochet Basics vids to continue to grow and learn. 🤗💖🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany thanks! Avid hand quilter& crochet to finish a fusion quilt… but it is quite the undertaking using crochet thread as was used to crochet each block! Thanks for the vid recommendation too… I’ll be binging you for sure… I’m sure a nice yard down the road would be easier than this crochet thread 🧵
Thank you, really useful instructions to show how to decide where to put the stitches around a piece of work in preparation for adding a border. I'm in the UK and use UK terms but your tutorial makes it easy to see which stitches you are using. I can see that you are clearly using UK trebles, thank you.
Thank you Tiffany, your blanket and border are really beautiful. I haven’t crocheted for over 30 years and I’m just picking it up again, it appears to be popular once again here in 🇦🇺 🐨 I’ve just found your video and I have subscribed. Keep up the great work, your very clever. 😉 PS, your camera work is excellent.
I just completed a queen sized blanket for my granddaughter using the Suzette stitch. Since the stitch is so dense I was looking for an open stitch for the border. This is the perfect stitch. You made it so easy to follow and it’s so beautiful! Thank you so much Tiffany! You’re the best 😊🙏🏻🙌🏻
Hi miss Tiffany, I love the way you hold the crochet hook were the same , I love to follow your tutorial, I hope I will be chosen to received your surprise box, full of beautiful yarn...
I love this border. I will be using this border for any blanket. Thanks for bringing this to us. You are so easy to follow and your stitches are easy ones but has the beauty of harder stitches. Stay safe and God Bless
Well I made a butterfly prayer quilt and it needed a boarder, I did this and I’m so so pleased with how fantastic it looks. Thank you so much for your easy to understand instructions 🥰
Hello..just wanted to let u know that I love the way you present your work. You are so very clear while giving instructions and that makes it so each to follow you..
Thanks Tiffany I followed you video and edged a baby blanket that I was struggling to find an edge I liked. Your tutorial was easy to follow and I’m so happy with the end result. Love your work💕💕
Thank you so much for the video! I'm making a baby blanket for my first grandson and have been looking for a perfect border. The blanket is a little smaller than I wanted so this really adds to the size and so beautiful but not too frilly, Thanks!!
I think two of these baby blankets are going to be the front and back to a new Sweater Tunic I'm going to make myself with a couple of wide "scarves" being my sleeves. Thank you for the lovely idea!
@@CrochetWithTiffany , have you never thought about it? Before my health made me swell up like a waterlogged whale, I might have never thought about it. Hmm, this sofa cover's got a hole here where the dogs got at it when they were bored... "this quilted fabric would make a nice lightweight coat... "this blanket sure would make a nice sweater".... Fat lady clothes are expensive. So is medication... and Healthcare... and gas... to get to the high co-pay doctor's office visits... for each and every single separate symptom. I just finished a baby blanket you have shown on a different video & I surrounded it by this border. It is beautiful!!!!! It was an absolute pleasure to have followed you through these videos. You make it fun, soooo easy to follow & I am thrilled with the result!! Thank you Tiffany & please keep it up!!
Tiffany you are adorable! Thank You for the beautiful crochet border. I made my Mom an afghan and didn't like the border the pattern had. This border will look great.
My mother, who is almost 90, showed me this stitch...she said her mother used to call it "hitchin post"...kinda looks like something.you would tie a horse to. So thanks for showing it!!
About to start this border on the shells and cords blanket you taught me! Thank you for your amazing videos. I truly feel invigorated by crocheting again!
I literally just spent 4 hours on this border to realize that I might be doing it on the wrong side. What side should be facing me as I crochet? The back of the blanket? Right now the front of the blanket is towards me and I think that's wrong. Ugh.
Hi Erin! You should be working this pattern with the right side of the blanket facing you. You're good! The only part of this border that will show any difference from one side or another are the Picot's on the top. 😊🧡🧶
Thank you for being so clear and detailed! I am able to follow along! Mine is coming along nicely! You are a good teacher! I love your simple patterns! Thank You for being here!
Great explanation and demo on picking up the sides and starting row to start the border. Thanks so much for this. I’m curious as to why we turn the work to make the border?
I'm so glad you liked my border video Donna. Haha, you are not the first person to ask me why I turned the work to make the border. Honestly, at the time I didn't know it would make a difference. Thinking the pattern looked the same on both sides so why cut the yarn and start the row fresh in the upper corner beginning the row. I've learned a lot since then and would do it differently now. So, if you would like it better if you tied off the blanket at the end and then re-attached yarn for the border then please do so. I would probably do that now myself. 😊🧡🧶 Everything about this pattern would remain the same as for how you would work it up. The border would just be facing the right side and not the wrong side.
Interesting! I’m finishing a moss-stitch border with your picot row and the instructions were also to turn the work first! So I’ll stick to this! Thanks for this!!
So easy to follow, thank you - I love your work and tutorials - I can crochet but I’ve always stuck to basic stitches. My new batch of wool hopefully will arrive today so yay 😊🌸🇬🇧
Wow believe it or not I'm working on the shells and cords right now, on row 3, and I absolutely love this border, will be putting it on my blanket, once again excellent videos, keep dreaming up new projects and I'll keep making them! Hope all is well with your family. I need sock tutorials.

Also, this is the first time I actually understand the instructions for the picot stitch. I have often wanted to use it but didn't understand how to do it. So, thanks for opening up new patterns to me!! 😁
