Thank you for highlighting the plight of the animals on Boa. These lovely animals depend on us tourists helping them....although there is an amazing dog shelter and cat sanctuary there
I’m going to this hotel this week, i was so nervous at first due to many bad reviews however you have given me hope that i will enjoy my time there. Great vlog, and i’m glad you had an amazing experience ❤
I’m off to Cape Verde in a weeks time, it will be our 7th visit to the island and Riu Touareg, I guess we love it 😊. I promise I will take over your donkey duties and make sure they get some tasty treats. 🤗🤗
Loved this video and we are the same love animals when we went to sal tui gave us a 20 kg case free we filled it with food for stray cats and dogs worm tablets and stuff we always feed them
Thank you for vlogging your experience. The reviews online for Cape Verde and this hotel are not great at all but it looks like you both had a fantastic time. I will like and subscribe. Can’t wait to see more travel videos from you both :)
Thanks so much for watching. I’m pleased it has given you some reassurance! We’ve been lucky now to go to quite a few places and this place ranked really highly! I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Look forward to sharing more travels with you soon! 😃
Can you get a taxi to Sel Rei and what currency are they trading in? Thanks for sharing the excursions so helpful. Been to Sal which we loved and thinking about going to Boa Vista. Great videos really appreciate.
You can, though we went as part of a tour and from what I saw, I don't think we'd have gone back to visit the city again as we saw all we needed. The market was nice but it wasn't a very smooth experience, lots of people trying to get you to go into their shops. They trade in euros (well everywhere we went to). They do have a local currency but I believe you can only get it on the island and they don't like you leaving the country with it (so I'm told). We'd like to go to Sal! BV is great if you're after a chill and relaxing time. I.e. not many places to go besides excursions. When we go back, we're going to try the Hotel RIU Karamboa. Thanks so much!
@@APCompton thank you, the information on BV that you have provided is very helpful. Sal is a good choice too. The Sal island excursion is definitely worth going on. There are also a few things you can do on your own like walking into town via the beach. About a half hour walk but worth it. Some vendors along the way nearer the town but a polite no thank and they will not bother you. We found walking around the town interesting, quite a few shops and a bike hire shop and a very British pub right on the beach front in the town. You can also walk into or back from the town along the main road with some hotels and nice bars to stop and have a drink or beverage. The sea is mostly calmer than BV I've swum in it a few times but do make sure the correct flag is up before you venture into the sea. On the beach behind the RUI Palace hotel on a Friday lunchtime (check the time though) they have a fun zumba on the beach class along with local dancers and complimentary cocktails (free for all - look on, or join in).
Hiya! Great video, going in 4 weeks for 7 days. Can I please ask, do you have to be staying in the adults only area to be able to make dinner reservations in the a la carte restaurants (Asian, Italian..?). Cheers! x
Thanks Holly! The only one you can't eat in unless you are in Adults Only is the Kulinarium - gourmet à la carte restaurant. The Asian, Italian and Cape Verde restaurants, anyone can go to, you just need to pre-book on the RIU app (as early as possible). Have a great time! x
@@hollytaylor3216 no worries! I think block 3 (that's the number our room began with). It was one of the newly revamped blocks. Yes, I definitely would request this block again. I felt like it was in a nice corner of the resort. If you needed to pop back to the room, it would be a few mins walk but that didn't really bother me. I found it quite peaceful lol. Probably a 2 min walk to the restaurants once on the ground floor!
Been waiting all week for this. Great work. Love your vlogging style.
Ah thanks so much and thank you for coming back!
Top work again, lads; I'll look forward to the next one!
Thank you kind sir
