Animal Communicator Update on Spirit

- Update - 18th June 2023: Spirit left his body peacefully today, assisted by kind curators and vets who accurately determined that his cancer was uncomfortable and untreatable. He lived to an amazing 21 years of age - almost unprecedented for a leopard.
This video filmed last year features Anna sharing news of Spirit and his cat friends from their home at Jukani.co.za in South Africa. Thirteen years after he featured in the documentary The Animal Communicator, Spirit was enjoying his old age at this ethical, no-petting sanctuary.
Several years ago he was joined by two adult leopard sisters who were surrendered by a zoo that was closing. Miraculously, they turned out to be the grown-up cubs that Spirit knew from years before. Based on their love for each other, they were reunited to spend the rest of their natural lives together. Months later when the paperwork for the transfer was concluded, details came forward about the history of the two leopards’ locations and moves, proving that they are indeed the same two whom Spirit had known. What a wonderful happy ending for all concerned!

Also I have so much respect for the owners of the sanctuary to give these beautiful gracious animals the opportunity to live in peace. I love with my whole heart and I forgive the people that hurt animals and I hope they find it in their heart someday to realize what they have done and to stop hurting animals. Many many years ago I think I was 16 and I adopted a tiger for many years and I wonder what happened to Kuza. I’ll find someday as I am more open with my spirit side.

Wish you could have been here when our wee boy Misty suddenly became unwell and the vet decided within 24 hours to put him to sleep. I'd have paid with all my love, heart or money to know what should be done. I've subscribed and will be asking others to do so. May the universe bless every breath you take x

Spirit is the most majestic creature. Just looking at him you can tell he exudes charisma.

Really enjoyed the update. I was teary-eyed with your first visit to see Spirit and hearing the horrors he had to endure before coming to the sanctuary. I've thought about him on and off over the years. He's magnificent. I could stare at him all day.

😔 I had assumed that he moved on years ago. Such a fabulous person he was. Since I had Jungle Book read to me 60 years ago, I have always loved black leopards. Someone my family knew in India had one as a pet. Thankfully, most people have moved on from "keeping" large wild animals in small spaces.
Great ending for all 3, beautiful beasts.
I remembered the time I watch Spirit, when you helped him and got rid of that awful name he had previously, which made me felt so uncomfortable for him. It was a great relief.

Anna that's wonderful. I have wondered occasionally about that magnificent cat, and to hear that the two kits he asked about had come to him. All I can say is wow. You didn't mention the man who was so touched by him, and Spirit's reaction I wanted to ask.

WOW. As soon as Anna said there were 2 leopard sisters I KNEW they were the cubs Spirit was so concerned over years ago. It was so right for them to be put together with Spirit in his enclosure. Thank you, Anna, for giving Spirit a voice. He seems very content.

When I watched the original interaction when spirit became was named spirit I was BLOWN AWAY and now that spirit was reunited with the leopard Cubs he was concerned about in the original episode it gave me goosebumps. I've always felt like animals are more connected to source then humans are. I would LOVE to be able to do what you do!! I talk to most animals I come across as if they were other people/personalities. I've wonder if that's why they come back to see me often. At risk of sounding nutts I've noticed trees energetically communicating as well so this is all fascinating to me 😊

The first time my parents took me to a zoo this was in Rio De Janeiro in the early 80s I was so sad. I begged my father to let the lion go free because his cage is so tiny he would walk back and forth. At the end there was a gorilla they kicked him so he would throw his feces at them. They thought it was funny. I was so distraught and sadden helplessly begging to let the animals free. I never went back. Many years later after moving to the United States and having my own child even seeing how much nicer the zoos were here I still wanted to leave. I had to keep a good attitude for my son not to ruin his day. But later the night I told him what happened to me when I was his age and went to the zoo. He was so sweet he cried with me and said it's wrong to keep wild animals just so we can see them. We stopped going after that.
