The company claims that Hyunjoo left April because she wanted to be an actress. After one year, she joined The Unit (which is a survival reality show for trainees/idols). Weird right?? Well basically, its not that she doesn't want to be an idol anymore. She just wanted to leave the group instantly cuz shes exhausted with how they treated her. 🤷♀️

@@hani-qi4sc I think the members have discord with with Hyunjoo and not actually bullying...bcuz Hyunjoo was absent in most of their schedule and practice times because of her health issues and effect the whole group plans...which cause them not so close with each other...and probably some misunderstanding among April members...they probably thought that Hyunjoo did it on purpose to slack off...and Hyunjoo probably lacked of communication with the members too,which cause them lacked of trust toward Hyunjoo...it also stated that Hyunjoo sometimes didn't went back to their dorm

Yunyoung, a former A-JAX member and DSP Media labelmate, wrote a long post on his Instagram story. The story read, "I'm so upset so I'll just lay out the facts. When you talk to your friends, do you just tell them the truth? People automatically end up saying only their side instead of objectively laying out both sides when you're ranting to friends. Hyunjoo was probably upset because things didn't go her way. But the [April members] had it worse. Hyunjoo, sorry, but I gotta say what I gotta say. Because of you, I feel so bad for the kids... While I was in DSP Media, I saw the entire thing that April went through. Hyunjoo suddenly stopped coming to practice and schedules were broken all the time. It's true you can be sick and weak. But then you should've quit early. But you wanted to do what you wanted and you wanted to take it easy. How can you live like that? You're not a soloist - you're in a team. These girls would cry until their eyes were swollen in the training room. If they tried to talk to her, she wouldn't listen. Members spend more time together than family.
Everyone knows that Hyunjoo is the visual. But if you can't follow, then you should've worked harder than anyone else. I only saw a one-sided story so I think you have to know the facts. Stop saying that no one just stood by and watched and that they were all perpetrators. Hyunjoo, the members really worked hard to keep the group... You only wanted to shine yourself, but the members put the team and the fans first.. You were all young so it was probably hard to hide, but how can they bully you when you refused to listen to anything or talk? You were bullied? Please stop hurting people by just going with the ride.
And Somin, who's a KARD member right now... She's someone who worked so hard when she was little without trying to pull any stops. She used to lead April as their leader and by keeping her tears back as they practiced choreography. Is it a crime to work hard? Hyunjoo did not deserve all the hate. Firstly, she entered DSP as an actress trainee the company included her in the lineup barely before their debut so she was barely trained in dancing and singing. Secondly, even though she does not excel in rapping, singing or dancing she has great charms, literally almost every ideal girl group has and needs a stan attractor member like her. Even the judges agreed on this. The debut lineup already has a lot of talented dancers or singers: Eunjin, Jiwon, Suji, etc. So what does replacing her with another skilled but less charming member do?

And just to add, the hate she receives even until to this day, is almost about her cuteness and how it is annoying.
For people that dont know, not only she was added late i the group, barely have proper training, she was forced to act cute and sing cutely by the ceo and trainers so much that she actually lost her original singing and speaking tone. This was revealed in the show and some interview when she debuted as actress. DSP didnt deny this, so its safe to assume that it is true that they forced her to stick to cute concept so much to the point she got so much hate because its ingrained as her charm.
Glad she left APRIL and joined The Unit so she can finally try sexy concepts that she couldn't do before! 😉

A lot of people in these comments are just judging without knowing anything about the idol industry and how it works. I also feel that they don't know how to be understanding becaause their own feeling are getting in the way. I wish they were more reasonable. Hyunjoo has a lot of potential all she hs to do is harness it especially since she already has a lot of what is desired in an idol.

Don't hate HyunJoo. Remember she became a member of april. She has a good voice but not that much good as the others as you expect but atleast she has it. And always remember, in every kpop idol, there's a lot people who is worst at dancing that's why they need to trained for over a years until they improve, even in singing too.
