Frankly, i think this will set a dangerous precedent. I mean, unless the lyrics literally state: the who, when, where, how, & maybe even the why? then there's just so much conjecture. This could also seriously restrain artistic creativity in Musicians' song writing lyrics. And what about Book Writers - fiction OR non?
This happened in 1990 with Judas Priest when they were sued for one of the songs they did when 2 kids made a suicide pact. And let's not forget the reason there are 'parental advisory ' stickers on music....the 80s PMRC fiasco.
BTW, the lawsuit was dismissed.

Well if a court can used what people say and write against them in court as hate speech, I don't see why they can't use an artist own lyrics as evidence against himself when he charged with a crime, the man's character made money off of violent expressions, the real joke is that he probably isn't going to do any serious time even if his lyrics is being used, it'll be real news if he gets life
