Palworld is not a live service game. This ain't World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, Destiny 2, or such. This is a game you pick up, you beat, then put down. This is a game from the 90s, when you could beat something, or in spite bringing up his name, when you could complete something. There will come a time when Palworld IS finished. There will come a time when Palworld IS beaten. And there will come a time when Palworld IS shelved. People today don't get that. As Bucky said, put the game down and go play something else. In a few days or a few months, there will be an update waiting for you when you return.
You hit the nail on the head mate. Younger generations have been conned into a never ending game with in game purchasing. They don't remember buying a game and that's the final payment. Then playing and playing until it's complete. I love Palworld. It's a great mix of multiple games.
Exactly. A single player game (as long as the option is there it’s a single player game) is meant to be played whenever people feel like it, just so happens that everyone doesn’t want to play right now because they beat the game. They said Minecraft was dead 10 years ago and Minecraft is back on relevancy today and that is a single player game (because it offers single player making it single player by default)
And yet they added a new pal and updates and 95% of the buyers still haven't come back and wont come back. This game was just pokemon haters who gave free money to a company whose goal is to live off other games by association and make nothing original. They will abandon this game within a year.
Good. im about half way done with everything, and im having fun not being bombarded with time gates, FOMO, microtransactions, and predatory business. The player population will spike again once the next update comes, and there's a rapidly growing mod community on the horizon as well that'll only serve to further expand the available content. Palworld is refreshing in its simplicity and progression, as opposed to burning out with genshin impact or destiny
And you need like 60h to reach lvl 50 and defeat all bosses. So ofc player counts drop.... the more important thing will be how many return after endgame content is implemented.
Think of how Minecraft grew over the last decade, or how Cyberpunk's cameback moments, PalWorld has already achieved so much. The thing is, after beating the 4 tower bosses and capturing all alpha pals, the game has sort of ended. So we wait for the next major updates. I enjoyed it, but now I move on, just like how we do after finishing single player games.
Everyone has beaten the game. Now we wait for updates. The devs even encouraged people to move on if you're out of things to do, and everyone has probably moved on to Helldivers.
@SkyDragonElite You CAN beat a game without 100% completion in achievement tbh. I played Borderlands 2 for thousand of hours back in the day, and until now i still missed plenty of the random achievements. Same case for Monster Hunter and God Eater series.
the game is not "dead"... sure it can be unlikely to reach such a massive player peak again, but then the game is good and fun there will always be people coming back to it even if it takes some time, and everything is possible, remember... this game is NOT complete yet
Demise of Palworld? My brother in Christ it's only been 2 months since. Yeah the player count went down, as with any other new game after launch. What's your point?
@SkyDragonElite I mean I won't lie to you, if we remove the "Pokémon" element from the game, it wouldn't have caught on to begin with. I love the game but I can't sit here and explain why the game is not dying. The late game was boring and there wasn't anything to grind for up until the latest update.
Still playing it with my friends and one of them hadn't played a game since he was 10 and this was his first game after almost 3 decades. Why he finally played? Because I was so bad at it that he had to join to save my a$$ from my stupidity. We're still building and exploring stuff and massacring Pals and people alike.
I usually don't by games that cost 30 buck or more, but I bought pal world because it did what Pokemon never tried. Also I support Independent game studios that aren't woke.
When a new update with new islands, pals or content my friends and I will start up another server and get going again. We just got bored after turning exp to 0.4x and bosses to 3x we were still able to get to end game within a week. Time to make the game harder or add some more difficult bosses to keep people interested!
You don’t know what you’re talking about. You seem to have all the facts but zero experience in games. It’s a not a live service game and it’s early access aka a demo. People stopped playing cause they beat it. Player base will be just as high when new content drops.
I think you forgot palworld isnt live service game, made by guys that still developing their skills in video games, and you cant judge or comparing them to live service games made by AAA studios/budgets especially they still in Early Access. Its unfair takes. And tbh isnt it hillarious a game in early access and infancy state beaten a AAA game studio with franchise with infinite budgets make same games from 90s just tweak the graphics here and there, caring more about other aspect like marketings, anime, movies and merchandise than how it known for in the 1st place?
I really wouldn't call it a demise, its literally an early access game that is in, well, early access. This is like with BG3 when it initially released in EA, it had a big spike, people got to the end of the content, moved on with another game. And when it came out, they came back. And this is pretty early access, once new islands are added people will come back to play more, so I think calling it killed is a huge overstatement. And having a smaller player base while developing, financially, isn't a bad thing since server upkeep wasn't cheap for them, so its kinda beneficial for a lull.
Sure 😂 it is. It’s almost like it’s still in the infant stage with more content to come so players aren’t stuck to this one game. Makes it top tier and oh boy pvp and raid bosses yet to come
@@ducklopsstop spreading hate to a great game the game hasn’t even released yet so of course there’s not a lot too do yet they are fixing everything before they release new content the players that left will be back we are just waiting to get the game released

it sold 25million copies in early access there is no downfall lol.

@@keineangabe123 oh most of the people at my school and my parents somehow know about the update and say they’ll play for themselves once it comes out
how did it sold that? Xbox is just gamepass downloads.

It's Early Access/Beta and hasn't been out for 2 months yet (at the time of this comment). If Multiversus can rise from the ashes, so can Palworld
Demise of Palworld? My brother in Christ it's only been 2 months since. Yeah the player count went down, as with any other new game after launch. What's your point?
@SkyDragonElite True, it is VERY unusual. But most don't stay 1 mil+ concurrent players after 2 months.

Just want them to fix the memory leak in servers. Not sure what causes it but pals/players/items falling through the world probably isn’t helping.
I usually don't by games that cost 30 buck or more, but I bought pal world because it did what Pokemon never tried. Also I support Independent game studios that aren't woke.

"Downfall" sure. lol
The moment they release official dev tools alongside steam mod support, this game will become pretty much immortal.
Looks like a ps2 game
I wasn’t a fan of the graphics at release, but I’m not sure what it’s like now since I’ve not played it since like May.
Guys the game 🤣 is not dead. You know you can play the game without WiFi thats what I do all the time.
