You are so right about kids not being to be corny now. When we were kids and teens we didn’t care about image so much. We just wanted to have fun, in a genuine way. With TikTok and generally the overwhelming presence of social media, kids are obsessed with attention seeking, this generation has lost authenticity and curiosity. We were lucky to be born in the beginnings of internet cause we had the best of both worlds. Anyway, as a millennial/GenZ cusp too, that video felt so good and nostalgic 😭

Do you still play oldschool runescape by chance? I'm a 97 baby and yes, Runescape was my childhood! Oldschool runescape is great, highly recommend it if you ever thought about getting back into it.

2000. Started with Counter Strike 1.6, then litteraly switched to WoW my entire youth. Also played Vice City, San Andreas and classic shit like these.

So nostalgic! I am also on the verge of millennial/gen z, but on the other side from you as I am millennial born earlier in the 90s. Many of the cultural aspects (internet, website use) I share with yours (but as I am in the UK my versions are slightly different). I was reflecting on how relative generational identity is - even though you were speaking about mainly media culture, my distinctions between millennial and gen z are often aesthetic-based. For example, I would guess you are gen z by your makeup style, verbal intonation and vocabulary you use (I am not denying you of identifying as zillennial though, as it's completely your perspective to own). I guess generational identity has many facets!

Hello Mimi, I was born in 1984, so I will be 40 this year: time flies! Sometimes I feel nostalgic for the time when social networks were less invasive. In my opinion, fake news were less viral than these days. I remember when TH-cam appeared, I was like a kid in a candy store: "What?! All these videos are for free?! Are you kidding me?!" as someone born in the mid 2000's i also grew up with some of the stuff people older than me had. Such as VHS and older consoles like the ps2 (gta san andreas was the goat fr). I turn 18 this year which doesn't seem real at all 🙏😭😭

So you consider yourself a Zillenial? Hmm 🤔. Interesting so late 90s. I'm a Xillennial haha mostly Millennial but there are some things Gen X grew up on that I like. l find it interesting how some Zoomers are into older stuff Gen X and Millennials grew up on. I never used Omegle looked kind of lame lol but there are people on there not pervs like Billy Wilkins he got famous from that app just playing music for people. But now he's on a different app thankfully.

Do you remember Blockbuster video? There were video stores that had the new movies on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray in some cases laser-disc but they didn't last very long. You could rent the new movies and games but you could buy stuff too in their sales and used movies, games section. I miss those days.
If you like king of the hill i recommend beavis & butthead made by the same guy lol 😅theyre kind of dumb kids who do random things but its just hilarious haha they were big for us millennials growing up 😂

You seem interesting yet a little laid back, shy somewhat. When i was in highschool we had every kind of archetype from geeky kids, jocks, hipsters and preppy kids, goths and emos, rocker kids, stoners etc etc 😅
I used to carry my walkman and portable CD player around before ipods and phones having buikt in apps came out. Whats funny is vinyl back in yet that predated me. They also made smaller vinyl records too way back.

Same here well with my friends, I was the outsider/class clown kind of kid in school at times depending on the grade also into art so you know what people say "artists are weird" so I was that kid lol. Yeah I'm sure that's changed now for kids in school. I don't even see kids carrying books anymore just laptops. I think my generation was the last to carry physical books in bags, like a lot of books lol. So kids now have it easy on that front at least haha.
