You're welcome! I do think the 1x3 modes handle patterns and outlines better so you do get way less moire and aliasing in your footage. Things I've done to combat that is shooting wide open if possible and shooting with filters. (cinebloom for example)
What SD Card did you use to shoot Magic lantern RAW? Sometimes when I upload the files from the card to MLV app it’s crashes and says can’t read files. I’m using a Sandisk Extreme Pro 170mbs 64GB
Thanks! bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/magiclantern_hg_02/downloads/?fbclid=IwAR39AtN70RZpXXV0f4tvHohS0_jBVHzjI66J6rPkXrFei1TtIgpQJKO_JY8 The opengate recording mode is in the crop mood build under the 3x3 recording options. Select the 3x2 option and you should be good to go! I also set the bit depth to 14bit for the best results. Hope this helps!
In the crop mood build select the 3x2 recording mode in the 3x3 recording presets and you should be good to go. I've been using 14bit and been getting good results. That would be super interesting to see what results you get using an anamorphic adapter filming in this mode. Hope this helps!
@@reelfilmmaking101 Thanks! The anamorphic adapters would add vignette, im sure, because it works best on crop modes and/or tele lenses, but, with RAW and full sensor, I wouldn't mind cropping as it wont lower the quality much
Great video dude! Just picked up an EOS M and your videos have been super helpful.
Great video can we get a canon eos m vs 700d or 600d
Thanks! I'm hoping I can make that video too! Coming soon!
HOW TO ACTUALLY DO IT?
DO YOU HAVE ANY STEP BY STEP VIDEO?
I NEED IT, THANK YOU
Me too !
Hello, I feel like this mode increases moire and aliasing, do you agree ? How did you get rid of it on your footages ? Thank you for the video :)

Hi there
Any jarring increase on cameras temperature sensor while shooting ?

Where is the download for the new opengate version? Love the videos btw.

Id really like to know how to get this option activated, because Id want to use the full sensor with an anamorphic adapter

Does it work with EOS M50 ?
Only in stills. ML is for cameras before M50.
That would be great, unfortunately it work only on M1 and M2. Alternative is 650D, 700D and 100D
