I work in ATC in the UK, so for me the best thing about your videos is seeing how you interact with ATC, it helps to understand the pilots workload, and it's incredibly useful to see these videos from the Pilots point of view. It's also brilliant to see different parts of Europe that you fly around, and to learn how GA flying works in Europe. Keep up the fantastic videos :)
I would like to see what sort of paperwork and procedure, refuelling etc..you have to go through when you travel outside the UK, as a non flyer I have no idea and it would be interesting.
I no longer fly but used to quite regularly fly to Le Touquet back in the 70s ... Flew to Ostend 10 April 1977 from EGMC ... I used to use the LAC back then and notice you don't use it. Went up again in 2014 after over 25 years of not flying and the instructor was brilliant ... let me fly the whole 1hr flight with him doing the radio .. I'd forgotten nothing and flew the whole leg from t/o to landing! (edit: all in PA 28's)
I think my favourite part of all your videos are the views especially on this trip but your honesty in all the videos. Mistakes get made and as pilots we learn from them and all the videos help us all greatly to improve!! So thanks for all of them
I like the whole story of where you're going, who are you going to see, the whole story of the flight and the views. It gives my inspiration for trips I may wish to do in the future
If it ain't broken don't fix it! Watching your videos since you started the channel and they have developed as you have. The magic is you are honest with all your flying and as your abilities and confidence have grown we have been fortunate to come along and learn and experience the joy and freedom of flying with you. I have enjoyed your mini series focusing on the various aspects of flying where you have the time to explore far more than in actual flight with the eyes of "just a private pilot'. If I could ask for one little extra then maybe more screen time for the places you visit. Thanks Jon for your time and efforts to produce these wonderful videos.
For me I would like more focus on flight planning, route, radio comms, decision making and tips etc. Regardless, you are a legend who has contributed significantly to obtaining my PPL and safe flying there after. Good on you.
What I like the most is seeing your confidence and ability improve. You’re a professional broadcaster but are rapidly becoming a truly professional pilot. Your self critique does you proud.
What makes your videos so good Jon are the multi angle camera views, music, and commentary. All so professionally done. But I also like the technical angle and your explanations of RT procedures, flight planning, airspace etc. Particularly like the joining and landing phase of your flights.
Your videos are all fun to watch and informative. Favourite parts of mine are your honesty, the pieces of information regarding flying and flight that you give us, and listening to your communications with ATC.
The whole video is very enjoyable and you’ve got a very calming voice. It’s good to see you don’t edit out the mistakes or errors like many You Tubers would do. You’ve got integrity and many pilots learn from other pilots errors. Carry on please. Hope to catch you or OR when I’m next at Redhill.
What I most like in Redhill is grass runway! Nice enough and in excellent condition. This is flight is nice and we can continue visiting those nice views you share with us.
My favorite parte is the flight planning part. I’d love to see more details about these processes from flight plan, route selection and etc. I love your videos!! Well done.
I want to say 'thank you' as your video was the best/only recent blueprint on which to base a VFR flight. I even was advised of possible wake turbulence and fortunately had noted your solution so opted to do some orbits outside of the possible downstream wake. Thank you!
The evolution of your videos since you began has been excellent. I do enjoy the extra Tips you add in, especially around the planning of your more extended flights. The honesty that comes through is what I most enjoy and the genuine passion for the flying that you do. It inspires me to venture further and try new destinations in different operating environments, that in the past I may have put on the 'too difficult' pile. Keep up the sterling work Jon. Thanks again for sharing your amazing content. All the best, Lee
Hi Jon, I find the most interesting parts of your videos are arguably the most boring - that is the interactions with ATC and any details you go into regarding the extra forms required for international flying (GAR/FPL etc). That being said, your presentation is very accessible and your edits are always a pleasure to watch. I completed my second flight to LFAT the other day, it felt like a great achievement even though I fly heavy metal for a living! A lot of the inspiration to do so comes from watching your trip around Europe. Happy landings :-)
As a non-flyer from the US I'm enjoying this also. Trying to figure out what it all the radio interaction all means. I've come over here from the "cruising the cut" vlogs. Thanks for explaining so much.
Hi John, I absolutely love seeing all aspects of your flights. The radio comms is especially useful for me as I still have that to learn here. Skydemon looks invaluable. Holland is certainly a long way to go just for lunch but hey what a great adventure. Thanks again for sharing this John. !
Always appreciate your videos and your work to make GA flying approachable. Perhaps my favorite part is simply the amazing views. This video does not disappoint in that area. The route you took has some amazing views of the Belgian & Dutch coast line, sea defenses, some very recent additions of polders near Rotterdam to extend the harbor, etc. The reason planes come in so low is that Schiphol's 18R approach is basically west of Amsterdam so you turn to final almost right after crossing the coast line North of Amsterdam. You are right about the beaches. On a summer day they are packed with locals and tourists from all over the country as well as Germany. Texel is the first of a chain of islands that stretches all the way to Denmark. Lots of small airfields along the way.
I like the technical aspects of flying, like the mapping views, the decision making, the issues you face, take off and landings. I'd love it if you had a small live map of your journey in one corner.
I like your cautious approach, you aren’t cocky, you analyse carefully what you are doing as if you are being closely watched! You realise your mistakes and admit them which is good. As an aircraft engineer I can totally understand where you are coming from.
The Flying Reporter Ha we were asked if we fancied doing some filming for national tv which I thought at first would have been great....then when I thought about it I imagined managers behind the cameras watching every move. Then there are the viewers....! They say we are driven by safety but they are more concerned about delays!
The bit I like are the explanation of the flight plan, discription of why you do things, the fact you show your mistakes and the flight to a destination (more than the destination itself).
Every aspect of your videos are excellent, well presented, calm music, interesting comments, able to listen to communications, the different angles of filming, not a single item of critic, which is rare in this day & age ! A civil aircraftt spotter from EBAW, fine greetings and thank you !
I learned to fly in Britain and love being reminded of the many happy hours going to places and flying the routes in UK and Europe which you also fly. I love the production values and I love the filming and your explanation of the flying process, different in some respects to Australia where I now fly. Personally not so bothered about more on the destination or any particular scrapes or challenges but really enjoy your professionalism. One small gripe would be your pronunciation of foreign place names in Frenglish, Belenglish etc but I always look forward to the next video and always learn something from you.
Thanks. My mispronunciations are legendary I'm afraid. Mind you, I'm pretty good at some of the oddly prounounced places in Kent &. Teston, Trottiscliffe.....!
Awrsome vlog again ... and that to 'my' country! Haven't read the comments yet but at this stage in my PPL-training I really like to hear and see your going through all the steps from planning to arrival, especially the radio calls and their differences across UK, France, Holland, (etc.?)! I like your choice of music but to me it could be slightly lower volume allowing to better hear the engine 'purr' and the wind caress the wings and fuselage. 🙏
Hello Jon - I haven't watched you for a while, so its very obvious your experience has move up a level but your professionalism hasn't dropped under the danger of complacency. I believe you certainly spur flyers on to be more adventurous. Just watched your Shoreham approach from a couple of years ago, i'm off there on Thursday for a couple of RNAV approaches followed by a spot of lunch, before returning to Cambridge.
Hey Jon, you asked what we like about your videos. this one, laughing out loud at your comments on the turbines/alarms and wake turbulence from the heavy 800 ft above, eek! Will be adding Texel to my list of destinations to visit. Generally your videos are always very professional and entertaining, but to be honest I do appreciate you highlighting your mishaps as that is good learning for all of us. Keep up the good work! Cheers. Paul
Ive really been considering getting my PPL for a while now and it’s videos like this that feed my desire to do it, you make it look so easy, the radio just sounds so hard to do and its putting me off.
You gave me the answer to your question at the very end. "It's all about the journey and the adventure!". That's what I like about your videos Jon. On the subject of the miles of sandy coastline that took you by surprise, I used to have an electronic pen friend (an email friend?) from Haarlem, on the coast by Amsterdam. I too was surprised when I learned that he was a volunteer guide and guardian of the sand dune nature reserves there. School seemed to have taught me that Holland was all about man made sea defences!
Great channel. I enjoy watching all of your informative videos. As a PPL of 5 years I'm still a cross channel virgin. I would like to see more of the formalities regarding flight plan filing/completion/GARS/customs etc.
Learning to fly in order to commute from Fife to Karlsruhe every two weeks, your videos are very useful for me to learn from. Bought SR22TN to do the trips
Hi Jon, Great video. As a flight simmer, I enjoy planning VFR trips using the UK GA charts then flying the trip. So, my enjoyment of your flying videos derives from everything you do! But really enjoying watching you flying in Europe. More please! Great flying, sublime production, excellent editing, wonderful views. Whats not to like! Keep up the good work, Jon! Greetings from the Wirral.
You continue to judge your content and edit very well. I like to see how you manage the more technical aspects of your journeys and I like how you incorporate shots from Skydemon. Your RT, planning etc are all the most instructive and I'd like to see how you use Skydemon for continental trips and what's involved in clearing customs (booking out & back in - notice required) etc.
It's the VFR flying , I am a flightsimmer on VATSIM and IVAO and most of the time I fly IFR , it is nice to see and hear how a VFR flight is done . Great video , thank you!
Jon, for me, your channel is about, as they say on Masterchef, "the Balance of Flavours". The airports, great footage; radio exchanges; mishaps, decision making and the destinations. Keep up the great work!
Your Question why are we watching. I am late as a year ago but I am watching as just done my first Solo in Bournemouth in a PA28 and listening to you in the background picking up tips :-)
As I love every part of Aviation I really enjoy the whole journey on a flight, of course the views are great 👍 The one thing I have learned from your videos is to always be looking “Outside” . As ever Jon great video ✈️
Hey Jon, my favourite parts of your videos are the details - as an Australian I enjoy hearing about the idiosyncrasies of airspace in the UK/EU, and I really like how you talk through the details of your flight planning.
Another quality production Jon Hunt - Please don’t change the format, seen all your episodes and the formula works! Would like to see how you prep your flights now that you are using SD more but other than that all is fine. BTW my favourite is your solo trip to Alderney last year. Well planned & well executed flight.
As a non pilot but an aviation enthusiast, I enjoy your videos as a whole. The content and production are excellent and I appreciate you explaining in detail what is happening, where you are going and how. Always look forward to the next one coming out and seeing Oscar Romeo on FR24.
Another brilliant video and flight. I hope to be able to produce something as polished as this one day and also venture further abroad than Le Touquet.
Great video, thank you. Very nice to see a flight from Redhill, having grown up near there. I now live in the US, where we have amazing places to fly, but I can’t so quickly be in a completely different country! Interesting to hear the differences in controlled airspace.
I like that you're flying around in Europe. It gives me an idea of what to expect procedure-wise for future flights of my own. The "reporter style" storytelling makes it very easy to watch. I love the quality of your productions. What I want is more videos, more often, to more destinations. 😁
My answer to your question may not help you much, Jon. I love the production values of the videos, sharing in your adventures, and above all the totally non-condescending and friendly attitude you have to your viewers. All of those things go a long way to leading me to believe that a 'normal guy' can have a lot of fun if he applies himself to his pilot studies, and works hard. Please, keep on doing what you are already doing.
Thank you, a very Interesting and absorbing video, I'm sorta getting the bug after a 60' flight out of Compton Abbas in G-OONY with Steve Webb, did the whole hour in the left hand seat, a great experience, and having been "simming" for many years, I was quite "au fait" with all the controls etc. I shall watch your other videos in the next few weeks and work on how to rob a bank to fund my LAPL...;-)...Thank's again Jon.
Hi Jon, I would have to say that my favourite elements are the approach and landing phases with time thereafter looking around the final destination. Some of my favourite videos have been those you've taken in the company of Alastair to both Jersey and Le Touquet where you walked around on arrival. I also enjoyed the video of your solo trip to Alderney which you appeared to particularly enjoy. Picking out interesting landmarks, such as the Thames sea forts, are also fascinating.
Favorite stuff to see is your decision making regarding routing and altitude chosen given the weather and legal considerations. Weight and balance customs fuel baggage etc. Inflight decision-making is the most interesting.
Excellent video, Jon! Wish my video's were that fantastic. I saw Netherlands so had to watch instant. Welcome to my country! Flying to EHTX is on my bucket list for some time now. In summer the North Sea coast looks like one grill plate full of human ants. Especially near Scheveningen (it has that huge pier with the ferris wheel on top you can spot at 11:35) and The Haque/Rotterdam. It's crazy to see by air. Texel is actually pronounced as 'Tessel' (for if you come back one day). Heads up and happy landings to you!
@@TheFlyingReporter My pleasure! I'm really enjoying your adventures and high quality videos :-) Everybody understands your intentions, Dutch isn´t a really easy language, but you´re awesome for crossing the channel and come over anyways!
Of course I love all your recordings but I am also very interested in your Skydemon use and your ATC. Really very educational and understandable. Keep it up.
I enjoyed the fact you chose to come to Kemble . I didn’t work their at the time but I was impressed with how Julian (FISO) handled the rush hour. Come again soon and I love your videos 👍🏼
Hi Jon, I love watching for the variety of activities, destinations and trips you do. I also enjoy seeing how technology is becoming more and more readily used in GA flying today. Keep up the excellent work :)
Awesome video, always wanted to see a Dutch crossing! Starting night rating soon, very excited. My favourite part has gotta be the cruise and landings at different airports. Love learning about different comms procedures, especially overseas ones. You have great RT too Jon. Thanks :-)
Nice! :) My homebase is EHLE, so very recognisable, SD screaming about class A airspace above (@1500ft already...) , and for every windmill ahead. I have switched off audio warnings for that reason. Saillant detail... the airplane landing before you was instructed to park next to PH-KLQ, which happens to be the plane I co-own. :) Love your videos, and I learn a lot from your planning, analysis, decision making, and evaluation of the flight. So keep that up, please!
Everything, your flight videos helped me greatly through my PPL. Thank you! By the way, I fly out from Redhill Aerodrome as well through Redhill Aviation
Welcom to the Netherlands! Nice view of the Dutch coast. I saw the Oosterschelde barrier in the province of Zeeland. Just missed the pier at Scheveningen (The Hague). Next time come to EHBK, Maastricht-Aachen Airport here in the south east. We might even meet than, since I live only 5 miles east of EHBK! Tnx for sharing.
On your question at about 8:20. I guess that as a pilot I am interest on your radio procedures in Europe, those little differences are key. Landmarks you like to use, perhaps approaches, looks like you are IFR rated.
Often when I fly to the LFDJ airfield there are parachute drops and they have also never asked me to delay landing, they practically land on the grass by the RWY, never crossing in.
For me it's mostly about the experiences with different ATC units and airfields, and VFR procedures. Flying in Norway is quite a lot different when it comes to these aspects (pretty much always get at least a traffic service from ATC, for example), and we don't have the density of airfield cafes to visit! When I visit the UK and start flying there, I feel your videos (along with a few other UK TH-camrs) will have given me the confidence I need to "pass my message", amongst other British ATC quirks. An example - airspace boundaries according to ICAO are owned by the lower class of airspace, but the UK has a specific exception to this - so it's interesting to see the UK TH-camrs flying at altitudes such as 2300ft, in order to stay clear of a 2500ft boundary between G and D/C. In Norway, it's no problem at all to fly at 2500ft without clearance in class G, when class C starts at 2500ft - you could probably get all the way up to 2800ft before any threats of "numbers to call" start to loom (although we of course don't bust in deliberately, and most of the time you are talking to them so it's rectified before it becomes an issue...) Otherwise - your videos are very well edited, and a good length with interesting commentary, so no starting at the screen wanting to fast forward. You are also very human, and willing to show your mistakes, which is reassuring for the rest of us.
Thanks Russ for the feedback. Yes, we're encouraged to fly 200ft/2nm from controlled airspace boundaries. If we fly at the base, they're on us right away. I must come to Norway!
Sorry, John this not going to be much help mate but all of it is bloody marvelous for me it is about reminiscing of my old flying days so just keep doing what you are doing you give us plenty of variety no worries about that!
I like the fact that you include a lot of ATC communication and give an overview of aerodrome procedures, flight planning etc. Your analysis of your own mistakes is also very useful. However, the flying episodes are becoming a bit repetitive. Don't get me wrong, they are still worth watching, but they are all more or less the same. This is actually a problem that many flying TH-camrs seem to have. Stefan Drury, that you've flown with some time ago, has even resorted to farm animals to break away from the monotony of flying from A to B ;-). What I would like to see is more reporting. Things like the sea survival training or the engine overhaul. Those episodes were very interesting. A potential topic worth exploring are drones and RC aircraft. A lot of pilots hate them and consider them as pure menace (along with birds). It might be interesting to talk to drone/RC pilots and show their point of view and review the regulations that are currently in place. I would also like to see a BTS episode, where you show us how you shoot and edit your videos. This should be very interesting to all those wanna-be-flying-youtubers out there.
That was great, i would love to learn more about the radio work. I took my first flight in 6 years a couple of days ago but was learning prior, but I didn’t learn the radio work, so if you could maybe explain some of that, ie with the air traffic control that would be great please x
One of my favourite parts is you explaining your decision making process, both on the ground and in the air
Thanks Nick, that's coming through loud and clear.
This answer, also, is a favorite.
I work in ATC in the UK, so for me the best thing about your videos is seeing how you interact with ATC, it helps to understand the pilots workload, and it's incredibly useful to see these videos from the Pilots point of view. I would like to see what sort of paperwork and procedure, refuelling etc..you have to go through when you travel outside the UK, as a non flyer I have no idea and it would be interesting.
OK, thanks.
Would like to know the same, but from the Netherlands to the UK. E.g. UK bordercontrol. I visit EHTX regularly. Very friendly people. Based at EHLE.
I no longer fly but used to quite regularly fly to Le Touquet back in the 70s ... Flew to Ostend 10 April 1977 from EGMC ... I used to use the LAC back then and notice you don't use it.

leaving the grey mists of England, straight into the tropical VFR skies of Netherlands!

Thank you Mr C.
The bit I like are the explanation of the flight plan, discription of why you do things, the fact you show your mistakes and the flight to a destination (more than the destination itself).

I think that we all learn from just watching the entire flights. The tidbits are always there. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks Paul. It was warning me about every turbine in the array, in turn! FFS.
I'm enjoying the vids - I hope to get back into flying after 13 years out, and flying FS2020 in VR has tapped back into the memories!
Ive really been considering getting my PPL for a while now and it’s videos like this that feed my desire to do it, you make it look so easy, the radio just sounds so hard to do and its putting me off.
My favorite parts - The take offs/landings, and the ATC. Enjoyed your aerodrome reports.

I like to see
Thanks Gordon.
Me too. Along with the wheres and whys.
You gave me the answer to your question at the very end. "It's all about the journey and the adventure!". That's what I like about your videos Jon. Thanks Paul. Yes, was surprised how close the coast was to Schipol
great videos ! I love having the ATC comm and your route, I am a PPL student from belgium & it helps me prepare to future flights
Woah! That airport you departed from was super cool. Towered with grass runways. Dont see that often in the US
As a Pu/t I find the whole thing really informative and something to aspire to. Thanks for producing the videos.
Great channel. I enjoy watching all of your informative videos. As a PPL of 5 years I'm still a cross channel virgin. I would like to see more of the formalities regarding flight plan filing/completion/GARS/customs etc.
Thanks for the feedback Paul.
Another good video Jon! I like seeing the destination, I find I have flown into a couple of places after having seen you do it on here!
Thanks for the helpful feedback.
Learning to fly in order to commute from Fife to Karlsruhe every two weeks, your videos are very useful for me to learn from. Bought SR22TN to do the trips
Hi Jon,
Great video.
Thank you Darren.. Very keen to fly more in Europe.
Thanks Graeme. Many people say the same. All the best.
It's the VFR flying , I am a flightsimmer on VATSIM and IVAO and most of the time I fly IFR , it is nice to see and hear how a VFR flight is done . Great video , thank you!
Thanks for watching Bert.
John
Keep up the good work I love your radio work it inspires me
Should be taking my skills test Feb/March weather depending
Good luck with the training.
Not far behind you, hoping to get mine completed by the end of April. Great, isn’t it. ✈️
Much Respect for you! TY for the Excellent Video! and a Big Hello From YVR
Jon, for me, your channel is about, as they say on Masterchef, "the Balance of Flavours". The airports, great footage; radio exchanges; mishaps, decision making and the destinations. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Tony. Appreciate that.
Your Question why are we watching. I am late as a year ago but I am watching as just done my first Solo in Bournemouth in a PA28 and listening to you in the background picking up tips :-)
Doing my first hour of flying in the piper pa 28 next month, hope to get my PPL next year when I’m old enough
As I love every part of Aviation I really enjoy the whole journey on a flight, of course the views are great 👍 The one thing I have learned from your videos is to always be looking “Outside” . As ever Jon great video ✈️
Thanks Stewart.
I think that the content of your videos are a great mix of flying experiences. Not sure you need to change much. 😎
Thanks Colin.
Hey Jon, my favourite parts of your videos are the details - as an Australian I enjoy hearing about the idiosyncrasies of airspace in the UK/EU, and I really like how you talk through the details of your flight planning.
Beautiful video! My favorite part is the scenery you encounter along the way as well as the take off and landing bits :)
7:43, the commentary and showing us visually the scenery around you when your in flight
Another quality production Jon Hunt - Please don’t change the format, seen all your episodes and the formula works! Would like to see how you prep your flights now that you are using SD more but other than that all is fine. BTW my favourite is your solo trip to Alderney last year. Well planned & well executed flight.
Thank you, very helpful feedback.
As a non pilot but an aviation enthusiast, I enjoy your videos as a whole. The content and production are excellent and I appreciate you explaining in detail what is happening, where you are going and how.
Always look forward to the next one coming out and seeing Oscar Romeo on FR24.
Thank you for the feedback Nigel.
Cruise is my favourite, in particular the camera under the wings, just infront of the instruments and looking over the wing.
Thanks for the feedback.
ATC comms are my favourite .
One of my favorite parts to watch is the scenery and listening to atc
Thanks Mike.
Another brilliant video and flight. I hope to be able to produce something as polished as this one day and also venture further abroad than Le Touquet.
Le Touquet is a good place to start.
Great video, thank you. Very nice to see a flight from Redhill, having grown up near there. I now live in the US, where we have amazing places to fly, but I can’t so quickly be in a completely different country! Interesting to hear the differences in controlled airspace.
Thanks James.
Wow, an amazing FlyReport, and Regards from Rotterdam :)
I like that you're flying around in Europe. It gives me an idea of what to expect procedure-wise for future flights of my own. The "reporter style" storytelling makes it very easy to watch. I love the quality of your productions. What I want is more videos, more often, to more destinations. 😁
Thanks for the feedback Stefan.
Thank you Jon, you're very kind.
Thanks Georgina. Glad you're hooked.
Thanks for the feedback Michael.
Favorite stuff to see is your decision making regarding routing and altitude chosen given the weather and legal considerations. Weight and balance customs fuel baggage etc. Inflight decision-making is the most interesting.
Thanks Cyrus.
Thanks! My pronunciation of foreign place names is legendary!
Keep it up.
Thanks Armand.
I enjoyed the fact you chose to come to Kemble . I didn’t work their at the time but I was impressed with how Julian (FISO) handled the rush hour. Come again soon and I love your videos 👍🏼
Excellent video as always. I flew Kemble to Shoreham today, approach over sea, exciting. I might go for a trip abroad soon. Safe flying....
Thanks for watching.
Hi Jon, I love watching for the variety of activities, destinations and trips you do. I also enjoy seeing how technology is becoming more and more readily used in GA flying today.
Keep up the excellent work :)
Thanks for the feedback.
Awesome video, always wanted to see a Dutch crossing! Starting night rating soon, very excited.
My favourite part has gotta be the cruise and landings at different airports. Love learning about different comms procedures, especially overseas ones. You have great RT too Jon. Thanks :-)
Cheers Marcus...Night flying is fun!
Another excellent video. Thanks Jon.
Thank you Joe.
Great video , you make it all look painless👍
That's the beauty of editing Andrew!. Thanks.
Nice! :)
My homebase is EHLE, so very recognisable, SD screaming about class A airspace above (@1500ft already...) , and for every windmill ahead. I have switched off audio warnings for that reason.
Saillant detail... the airplane landing before you was instructed to park next to PH-KLQ, which happens to be the plane I co-own. :)
Love your videos, and I learn a lot from your planning, analysis, decision making, and evaluation of the flight. So keep that up, please!
Thank you Eric.
Everything, your flight videos helped me greatly through my PPL. Thank you!
By the way, I fly out from Redhill Aerodrome as well through Redhill Aviation
Say hello then Michael, if you're there when I am...
Is like! Very professional and I enjoy the whole thing - please keep it up
Welcom to the Netherlands!
Thanks Marc.
My favorite parts is watching procedures as they differ from Europe a bit. I enjoyed this video because Texel is on my list of destinations!
On your question at about 8:20. I guess that as a pilot I am interest on your radio procedures in Europe, those little differences are key. Landmarks you like to use, perhaps approaches, looks like you are IFR rated.
Thanks Daniel. Appreciate the feedback.
Often when I fly to the LFDJ airfield there are parachute drops and they have also never asked me to delay landing, they practically land on the grass by the RWY, never crossing in.
Another great video. My favorite part is your presentation style. :)
Thank you David. Appreciate that.
In Norway, it's no problem at all to fly at 2500ft without clearance in class G, when class C starts at 2500ft - you could probably get all the way up to 2800ft before any threats of "numbers to call" start to loom (although we of course don't bust in deliberately, and most of the time you are talking to them so it's rectified before it becomes an issue...)
Otherwise - your videos are very well edited, and a good length with interesting commentary, so no starting at the screen wanting to fast forward.
Thank you David.
Thanks for the feedback.
Always very interesting! Thank you for your flights!
My pleasure.
That was great, i would love to learn more about the radio work. I took my first flight in 6 years a couple of days ago but was learning prior, but I didn’t learn the radio work, so if you could maybe explain some of that, ie with the air traffic control that would be great please x
In this particular video i enjoyed seeing you flying over the Deltaworks dams in Zeeland.
Hehe. Thanks for watching.
The bit I like is your exyension of the podsibilities if vfr. That said, ifr is easier. I hate flying at 1200 feet.
