      They will never make it available under the current oligarchical system because the government/financial/modern aristocracy is running the show. These degenerates depend on your tax slavery at interest to pay for an astronomically price hovel so you waste the rest of your life paying off. This is why it's all going to have to come down to the rifle.

    I'm a little confused. The video initially states that the cost to completion for a 3D printed house is is $275/m2 but a normal house is $223/m2 but that the printer saves 70% of time and labor? How come it is still more expensive to print a house if it saving 70% on time/labor/materials?

    • @raphaelsaccasan3031
      @raphaelsaccasan3031 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      or do you mean that you could get the price as low as $223/m2 if you were printing a square building and not using high end materials?

    • @JonDC70
      @JonDC70 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Raphael Saccasan I'm confused by this too. And land isn't figured into either price estimate, so that last comment makes no sense either.

    • @undefinablereasoning
      @undefinablereasoning 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      They word it weirdly, what they are saying is that if they were to print a normal square house the cost would of come down from $275/m^2 to $223/m^2 not that a normal house built via construction would be that cheap.

      It's not going to happen in USA and west first. Banks and government won't let go of the stranglehold easily. It could happen in Russia (because they don't care a fk for what the western bankers and govts say). Russians are trying to attract foreigners due to a low birth rate. IF (big IF) it catches on in neighboring China, Japan, Korea etc and India the west will be forced to follow suit to compete. This is similar to hybrid vehicle technology and solar power. It's disruptive and will take time to catch on. Resources and manpower cannot compete with technology in the long run. It's proven. The former gets too expensive with mass production while the latter gets cheaper. There is no competition.

    I want to point something out I did the conversions the square meter to square foot and it came out to be 409.0282 square feet. The average cost per square foot is $125 which means if you were to build a normal house of the same size it would cost around $51,128.53 this house that they 3d printed is a fifth of that. That's amazing

    If you make them hexagonal, you can get the most surface area if you stack them up next to each other, with a bit of space to walk between them.
    Plus if they're hexagonal, and you paint the tops orange you could make cities look like bee hives, which would just be awesome.

    Dunno if this would fly in California, earthquake standards etc. I noted the horizontal reinforcement, I didn't see any vertical ones, not that it would be impossible, just curious if it would pass our current building codes. I'm also curious about how the electrical and plumbing is put in, they didn't show that - it's obviously there. With a smaller structure you would need central air (a requirement in some areas) which is nice, and in some areas residential sprinklers are required.

    What's good about this is that building this house doesn't last really long it just lasts for a day and It's very easy and fast and it doesn't need any effort but what's a little off about 3D printing is that if they kept using 3D printing for houses then people won't have a chance to get a job and work so I think the builders should work on houses by themselves instead of 3D printing. Just my opinion please don't argue.

Honestly if the banks approve the mortgage (can't afford otherwise) I would be willing to pay more than a traditionally built home just to help advance the technology and it sounds like it would cost far less for this method so that would be a a pretty good opportunity for profit.

    Extruded concrete with no reinforcing steel? Concrete mix looks watery, makes concrete brittle and weak. Actually looks like cement, no limestone gravel at all. Foundation? Did it print the windows and wood floor too? Painting concrete that hasnt cured yet? I am glad someone is working on these ideas but it still has a very long way to go.

      watch the video!!!! it's polymer concrete and it doesn't need to cure

      Its reinforced with fiberglass. Steel reinforcement has destroyed a lot of older buildings because it oxides over time and destroys the concrete.

      I would imagine when mass produced there will be various sizes & shapes to suit all . 1 , 2 and 3 bedrooms will obviously be required . But a lot of Americans will have to downsize on floor space and get used to 1 level living .

    does it print windows, pipes, hanged ceiling? and then it says printed house cost usd275 per square meter and normal brick build usd232 per square meter.. where does the 70% saving come from? So many things are not explained. And for that reason this video can be completely disregarded.

    What about people with large families? They can't just live on a couch for a few years. Also, what about the roof, how was that constructed without collapsing before setting? Or is that separate and need to use a crane to put it on? How do you give the house power/water/gas? Do you spend a week digging the floor around it? What about withstanding natural disasters, or even disintegration from acid rain or harsh weathers. How does it not sink into the floor without any construction or foundation to prevent it? What materials are used, are they toxic when it creates dust or particles?

      This is just the beginning, my friend. Next two years they might build a bigger house or building, who knows??. Don't be skeptical about the future.

    Question: Why depend upon 3-D house printing companies for affordable housing when there are literally tons of vacant houses that could hypothetically be occupied by people in need? Seems like it's adding to the inherent inefficiency rather than solving it.

    Could you print mobile buildings? (e.g. Container-like)
    And if yes, could we setup turnstiles in it? (static conditions...)
