I just stumbled across this band in a Spotify recommendation last week too ... for some reason I was hooked on this song out of all their tracks. I added it to tons of playlists. Every time I went to shuffle my main one, I played this song first daily before hitting shuffle. Still craving hearing the last 2 minutes of this song tonight, I came here. And now to read that the singer has died of cancer ... this song is infinitely more beautiful and hits that much harder. It's one that will stay in the collection forever. Rest in peace.
I wouldn't define her voice as angelic. Instead I would define it as the voice of someone who has reached the light through darkness. During normal daily life it is necessary to dive deep into darkness to reach the soul. It's not something that's just underneath the surface. Or at least for an average human being, because it's easy to confuse emotions with soul.

i never usually like female vocalists, ive never been able to find out why, but this band makes me question if its because female vocals often represent something comforting and hopeful, something im unconsciously unfamiliar with. but her voice. her voice is different. what a gorgeous embodiment of utter sorrow, loss, and hopelessness. one of the only bands i stick around for solely because of these vocals.

Today for some reason this magnificent song popped in my mind, her angelic voice ressonated in my mind and made me eager to rehear this marvelous sound. This song puts me in a mood where half of me feels sadness for the feeling it transmits along the song while the other half feels so well and at ease with the melody, pace and her voice that makes me smile from satisfaciton of knowing such gem, a bipolar emotional rollercoast this song for me, and I love a song that gives me this mix of feelings.
So beautiful, sorry to put this here but now that she's dead her music is more haunting. She reached immortality and I will honor the legacy of that wise and peaceful soul, every-time I listen to Trees Of Eternity. She was too good for this world.
