Applying Coloured Render onto ICF

When it comes ICF blocks, the insulation is already part of the substrate, however, the exterior polystyrene is not weatherproof and therefore needs finishing with a coloured render system. In today's video, we’re going to talk about how you can apply coloured render onto ICF.

Would you render all the way to the ground or leave it, say 150mm off the ground? Is so what what would you put under?

Hi James, ICF will sit on a concrete foundation (where the DPC is). On the face of the concrete foundation you would use our Aquabase and typically a Mosaic Render.
