    When you commented on the amount of horrible filler all over the panels I was relieved to hear you say get rid and make the panels good first - superb 👍🏻

      @junglierich8448 yes there is alot on there not sure why as the panels don't look bad I will be using as little as I can

      @ there’s often a bit of status with some over how straight the side panels look - but I think you’re right about having a ding previously and a sloppy job done then. By the looks the lower quarter where the bumper stops looked like it needed a bit of fettling from you too. Great seeing you putting things back as they should be - and battling through despite feeling rough.

      Yes I definitely don't want it full of bog but obviously there will be some I'm no fabricator so it's not perfect but along as it's straight and I'm happy with it at the end I guess is all that matters 🤣

    Coming along nicely buddy, it’s great to see one of these old buses getting restored properly, to many have loads of filler chucked on them to make them look good, well done 👍👍

    That join from side panel to floor, you said there was a previous plate there. Have you considered either seam sealer there or 3M Panel bond. It’s not a bodge and the less heat you add to your new panels the less chance of warping. 👍🏽

    • @antandjen
      @antandjen  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Greyfox1302 yes the peice that's part of the floor I'm going to use a seam sealer to join to the center panel as I would think that's maybe how it was I don't want to add heat to the middle of panel for warping

    • @Greyfox1302
      @Greyfox1302 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@antandjen mine had spot welds either from factory or a previous job but I’ll be using a sealer.
      Plenty of people are using panel bond for the big panel these days with a couple of welds in the corners and maybe spot welds along the sill

    • @antandjen
      @antandjen  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Greyfox1302 yeah I've seen loads.doing that on a few now it's definitely one to think about

  • @besenzon1

      @@antandjenon the inside of the big panel there is a load of heat marks I spotted in a previous video I think are from a spot weld dent puller.
      Yes a skim of filler but in all honesty I’ve seen far worse.

    • @antandjen
      @antandjen  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Greyfox1302 yeah looks to have had a section at the bottom and a dent at the top from what I can see but the filler work is thick 😅

      @migsy2728 I'm all in to be fair rust isn't great but at the same time makes you think and use a bit of brain to fix it correctly
