RoF sparked the decline of Vegeta to me. Didn't allow him to get his revenge against Frieza and is actually the reason why Frieza destroyed Earth. The fact they needed a plot device to save Earth made RoF terrible along with Vegeta's character. Then the Super anime just has Freiza roaming around freely with Vegeta knowing this, he does nothing. Its actually pretty terrible for Vegeta.
At times like this, I'm reminded that the Hildegarn movie ended with Goku saying, "If I don't do it, who will?" despite previous attempts to let a new generation of fighters succeed him. With that in mind, I guess I'm not surprised that Z technically ends with the writers giving Vegeta's job to Goku...GT isn't the only story where it's Goku Time.
@@ContilGarden The Saiyan saga is pretty much part 1 of the frieza saga, it's too short for a full saga and ties perfectly into frieza (who was the boss of those saiyans) - so my point still stands. The Saiyan saga doesn't tell us enough about the saiyans, it was only during frieza when we knew who the saiyans are, what they are capable of, and how they went extinct. The Saiyan saga is incomplete without frieza.
I may prefer the original dragon ball But I would give anything to To discover Z again just like I did when I was 7 years old am 30 and still going strong now nothing beats z
Original db is still my favorite. There was a fun sense to adventure that I loved. It why I love the black star ball hunt in GT. It combines the sorta big fights of Z with the adventure esque of Dragonball
Actually the loss of big jacked muscles can be thrown under the same reason why a lot of “chonky” characters were changed like Chopper or Pikachu. I remember reading it’s because it was difficult to animate them hence they were eventually slimmed down.
That’s the issue with reboots, they usually don’t do as well as the original run. I feel either the End of Z episode became non-canon for how much has happened in Super (now as well as Daima thrown into the mix) or Super (and Daima) are non-canon and just a “what-if” with the events of Daima and Super happening before the End of Z.
I think the frieza thing with vegeta is. Because Frieza never saw Vegeta as a threat. At all. At likely any point of the times they fought. Vegeta was never on his radar. 😂
Yeah I think the movie is better than people give credit for, with that said though if I can make one change it would be removing the super Saiyan Blue from it have that be in a different movie down the line the only new transformation that needed to be was Friezas.
I just think people over exaggerate dragon Ball Z Resurrection f as a terrible movie. I mean yeah they probably should have waited another movie before doing blue maybe Vegeta should have won but also don't really care that he didn't.
Dragonball series is both the goat and the biggest disappointment in anime history. Imagine if they would have chosen to take a serious path with the story and actually put effort into the animation along with a serious 90s inspired art style.
Personally I think gt and super are pretty ass. But who cares I think it's OK not to like them it's not for everyone but I will admit that it and super have incredible moments the might not be perfect but those moments like ssj4 or ultra instinct are awesome. Just like people think the but saga was ass when I Personally love it and think it's one of the best pieces of media ever create.
The original run of DBZ actually did come to an end in 1996. The Ocean dub ran from 1996 but got canceled. The Funimation dub, the cartoon network version which skyrocketed its popularity in the west, began shortly after the Ocean dub. Dragonball Kai (DBZ Kai outside of Japan) started in 2005 as the 20th anniversary of DragonBall. Kai is probably the version of it that you are thinking of.
@jayzdawg3111 I remember. Syndicated Ocean dub originally ended in the mid-ish 90's in America. Toonami (eventually) picked up The Ginyu Saga in 1998. But Dbz's original run didn't end until the Summer of 2003.
@@BrianAwesome Yeah, in Japan it ended in 96, everywhere else in the mid 2000s as you said. Time flies. I still watch the "Rock the Dragon" opening every once in awhile just for nostalgia. The memories

After dragon ball super manga is done and dragon ball Dima is finished I’m done with dragon ball that in it self will be my ending for the series everything after is just money hungry companies wanting to continue something that has no ending in sight
@ No matter how anyone feels about GT, I’m simply talking about how it affected how the world viewed Dragon Ball. GT was a failure and got canceled and I saw in real time how that stained every conversation about Dragon Ball back in the day. Now that’s not the case.
This is entirely false. GT didn't almost destroy Dragon Ball at all. While you haters are loud, most people I know in real life loved GT. You don't event have the perspective of most of the world on hand to bring into the conversation. Super didn't save the franchise just brought in a younger audience that entirely missed GT becauss of the length of time between the two.
None of that happened. GT didn't ruin the series at all and has always been a big promotion for the series(both their most popular fighting games using GT characters for promotion) And Super didn't save the franchise because it wasn't dying. DB has always been big. All Super did was bring in a younger audience which yes absolutely increased it's popularity....but didn't save it from dying lol Objectively speaking. Resurrection F was not a bad movie. I don’t get why the community thinks that it is. Narratively it’s one of the best Z movies they’ve ever come out with, and it fixed the issues the community had with battle of gods, more action.
Hit the Like if you'd like to see ANOTHER 'Z' MOVIE!
