It's funny because this can be taken two ways. As a compliment ("You don't look old enough to be a grandmother") or as an insult ("You don't have maternal instincts"). And _of course_ Brooke took it as the former. 😄
CJ is now seeing what I've seen in Steph from day 1. She's there for *everybody* who ever needed her, even when they don't think they need her. Sadly, the shoes are never on any other feet.

Dont you remember that Stephanie tricked Eric into marrying her by being pregnant with Ridge when really Eric was not Ridge's father. Eric was in love with Brooke's mother.
Why would they even think to invite Brooke? She doesn’t like Amber, barely interacted with Becky, and has never been a grandmother to Eric, what purpose does she even show being there (well anywhere) ?

Stephanie-Becky/ Stephanie/C.J Stephanie had allowed Amber and Rick to live at the guest house and she allowed Amber's cousin Becky to stay, to help Amber with the babysitting of her step-son's baby. CJ in 1999 confronted Stephanie angrily when she warned his mom to behave at the next fashion show and he then secretly sabotaged the Forrester fashion show, to save the Spectra fashion show. Stephanie-Brooke Stephanie at Big Bear had strangled Brooke and warned her to stay away from Thorne, who later arrived and told his mom to take an aspirin but really gave Stephanie a sleeping pill.
