I don't understand why this shit is made for celebrate 10th anniversary of the series. Some Medals are readable, the others are only for summoning song, and the rest does nothing! The Medals themselves are also has a big problem. The Medal in this Watch and two sets that released at same time are between of Yo-kai Medals on 2021 and Yo-kai S Medals. The tribe marks are moved, but no QR code, re-use of old Medal's code at the back of the Medals, and no character voice for some Medal(Komami as a best example). I can't understand why Yo-kai S Medals are made. The character's voices are in the Watch, but we can't hear them by the Yo-kai S Medals. Why? 'cuz Bandai got crazy to money and made the Medals in same code! Just only difference of them is the stickers. Front of Medal and QR code. Just... dumb.

I understand that its dumb, but this its not to celebrate the 10th anniversary, next july is the 10th anniversary and I believe something even better is going to be released!

@@frostshogunyan Well.... bandai said it's a 1st one of the 10th anniversary project. But anyway I can't wait for DX Yo-kai Watch 10th Anniversary edition! The screen on the top of the watch is sooo real!
I really like that the summoning tunes are now cool remixes of the classic summoning songs

I like how the OG Zeroshiki is more capable than this version.
To me the watches peaked at U and Dream, the entire series fell when Shadowside came out, it's not just changing the artstyle to be more mature, it's also the fact that they canceled medals as a whole, making every past medal we've collected since 2014 to be entirely useless.

Why doesn’t the 2022 version have Yo-Motion?
It doesn't have Yo-motion because it's the bandai verson for Japan, bandai didn't use the Yo-motion concept and instead made the medals just like how they are in game or in the anime

I live in France, I remember my lil bro having the "normal" Yokai watch and the model zero but one day my mom got berserk and sell them...Now those toys are SO RARE in my country but they still so cheap, I can find one for 5 bucks

You know you don't really see that much of these new Japanese really suits outside of Japan so seeing this in amazingly good quality is pretty great did you get the watches for retail price or a crazy amount

Yeah it comes with some included, but if you replace em, it needs 3 LR44's

Honestly, I'm slightly disappointed with this watch. To be real for a while, having a retooled version of the Yokai Watch Zero sounds amazing. All of the new tribe songs are nice and plus, I also like the early 2000s toy cellphone vibe there's going for. What ruins all of this, however, is the fact that medals before 2020 are not backward compatible. Take the Yokai watch u and Dream for example. Both watches peak when it comes to playability and functionality. The watches themselves can not only use old medals but they can also play new medals. Not to mention that both of them are upgradable. Plus, the dream also has an nfc functionality. The new watch has nothing of the sort. Instead, it has crappy quality control, a lack of usable medals(for now), no sd card slot for updates, and no nfc reader to read medals with previous memory storage. I'm really hoping that the newly announced watch(not sure if its still gonna push through though) has at least more function than the past 2 note watches that we got:

@frostshogunyan tbh im not so sure myself . There was an announcement that I read last year about a new coming out in 2023. From the way it was advertised, it might be a mainline watch. Though if it was the 10th anniversary version that they were talking about, then its probably a misunderstanding on my part huhu(btw the 10th anniv watch is really fucking cool. I'll probably buy it sooner or later if i can)

@@Keizokai it says his name, its the same code as the original noko so it does the same thing
