Another informative video. Cucumbers would also be great. I grew kale because of your video with the smoothie. We the kale in a smoothie and sauteed. This year I want to try eggplant. Not sure the best way to cook them. It would be nice if you had time to share some of your favorite recipes. Thank you for all of the information. 🍆🍆

Not only can you overwinter your peppers but if you are in a colder climate they like growing in containers. If you get a larger container you can put 2 in a container because they like friends! I have done this. Also if your drive way is sunny put the pots there for extra heat. They grow better. Eggplants too, but they do not like friends they stay single. I have never tried overwinter an eggplant.

I always enjoy your videos. I love cucumbers and tried growing them in grow bags last year. I have plenty of land but not plenty of sun due to all my oak trees. Do you have any cucumber varieties that you would recommend for growing in bags/pots. I found last year that putting the grow bags out on my driveway was a great way for my plants to get more sun. Here in Zone 5 NY we are having the same weather as you!! I, too enjoyed the 33* hardly noticing the wind after BRUTAL COLD for the last 3 weeks!!! Inspite of the COLD, -6 a few nights, day time highs in the low teens, Asian Greens, Bok Choy and Napa cabbage survived in a plastic low tunnel. I opened the low tunnel and cut some TODAY! I don't like the flavor of Swiss Chard or Kale so I grow Asian greens instead.

I've tried for several years to like Swiss Chard. Last year, I pulled it. Decided I just don't like it. Maybe I don't know how to make it tasty. My favorite last year was Shikou Eggplant. Marinated eggplant is fantastic. I add garlic I've grown and red onions pulled straight from the garden.
