    Those molds are for St Nicholas Day,the Dutch gift giving feast on the evening of 5th December. His birthday is 6th December. The mold sre of St Nicholas on his horse and the othe of his servant Peter on a horse. The dough is like gingerbread and called either soft Spekulaas or Pepernoten. We had these when I was a child in the Netherlands.

    I just want to say thanks again for your videos. I know you make money from them as well but it is good of you to share for those of us who need extra income and might not be able to go out and work right now. I hope I can start finding some things and learn enough of the how to in order to help supplement. I have rescued animals for years and right now really need income for medical for these babies. They are not being adopted out, most are older and now have issues. So it all falls on me.
    Anyway thanks for the info I am grateful 👍

    I got 2 Star Wars 1983 Imperial Shuttles for $3 each earlier this year and even though they were broken I got over $100 each plus some shipping (I always absorb some of the shipping cost but probably shouldn’t). Great vid Don, love the narrated thrift shopping. Very suspenseful. Lol

    Hi Don - Great video as always. You’re a terrific educator. Question: how do you determine the age of pewter plating? Purely from a makers Mark or are there stylistic elements. You commented on the aging of a plate that you showed versus something 150 years older.

    Your more patient than me i can't take anyone especially a partner with me on my thrift hunt. because i'm working and have to move fast and get down the road. But women always wanna piddle and look at clothing and take forever and also they have a knack for always standing in the way and moving very slow. sorry can't do it i'm to high strung for that. can't take anybody with me!!!

    Hi Don, I have a question that I figure you could answer. Maybe you could in a video (I watch all your videos)! If someone buys and pays for an item on eBay and then asks you to cancel (after they just paid) will the seller have to eat the none refundable PayPal fees?

    • @northsouth8884
      @northsouth8884 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanis Tramontin every time I have refunded a cancelled order through PayPal it shows PayPal fees being returned as well to customer. So you are returning that much less

    • @seaveyda
      @seaveyda 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That changes on oct 11. You loose all the original Paypal transaction fees on a return or cancelation.
