25:00 I think its actually good that tracked cargo doesn't appear in a scan. This increases the risk a pirate takes when attempting to loot cargo, and it actually creates a viable reason for actual communication in a pirate/trader interaction, as in a cargo hauler can tell them "look I've only got tracked cargo, can I just give you X amount so I can be on my way, this is useless to you" might lead to pirates being less agressive with players, but also they might want to check for a bluff.
Legionnaire(white box) should work with Stations, 890 Jump, Hammerhead, Zeus(grey box), Raft, 400i, Corsair, Polaris(grey box?), Apollo(white/grey box?), Reclaimer, Hull C, Carrack, Idris, Retaliator(gold pass), Cutlass Red/Blue, Constellation and Caterpillar. It would just require CIG to do a pass on all docking collars small and large. Don't forget that the Legionnaires collar connects to both types of docking collars.

the more i think about it, im fine with autoloading or off-loading taking a while. give people a reason to visit the local dive bar/cantina to kill time, and populate stations/ground destinations. there isnt a real reason for anyone to be at the bar on stations unless you are RP'n it. auto-loading/offloading should be a time sink. (thinking what it was like in SW Galaxies, where you'd get 30min buffs from watching players dance and/or listening to players play an instrument for at least 10mins while inside a cantina in any town/city, cantinas were always mad busy, full of players and a place to hear local gossip)
For the cargo delivery, seeing that they made the "tracked" cargo a thing, which means sold for a lesser price, it would be nice if cargo haulers could also track their shipments for a fee. So you could buy just the cargo, or you can buy the cargo and pay money on top to make it tracked. Would be very good if the cargo was really tracked with beacons visible to you, but sharable. This would mean that if you are pirated: 1. You can claim to pirates that your cargo is tracked, which would mean less profit for the attackers. 2. If you get pirated, you can still track the boxes, which means you can hire bounty hunters and mercenaries to locate and retrieve it. This is already a good dynamic gameplay expansion, and while I was typing this, I developed the idea even further. Data heist in the future (data heist is a very broad concept, this could be one possible for cargo data heist) could mean stealing cargo tracking data, giving access to the cargo beacons to any other players other than the buyer himself. Let's say the cargo hauler buys commodities in system A, and needs to haul it to system C, the price of tracking depends on the distance, so he purchases the tracking from A to C, which means he is doing a long profitable run through systems A-B-C. If someone makes a data heist mission and accesses a terminal used by a logistics company, they could get access to the cargo hauler beacons, steal that data, use it or sell it to other players. The user of the stolen data gets access to personal cargo beacons, as well knows the distance of the tracking that was bought by the hauler (he knows that the cargo has tracking in systems A, B and C, because that is what the hauler payed for), so thief/thief's client is able to track the beacons of cargo containers live, and he knows the intended route. It doesn't stop the hauler from changing the route, but the end pirate can set up an ambush or smth like that on the route of the hauler. Of course hauler is unaware that he is being tracked, but he receives a message that in the system he bought his cargo from a logistics terminal has been hacked and the data was stolen, so he can take measures to lessen the chance of being pirated by doing a detour through an untracked area.

From what I understand in the monthly report on the topic of hauling missions I heard it as the backend portion of it is complete and the front end art assets and setup need to be made now. So all the logic and code dictating how the missions work inside the game is all ready now they have to use their internal tools to put together design and dictate what each individual mission will be and how it'll be presented to the player.
I just want to know if there will be Personal missions specifically for the Cargo shipment missions. I want a genuine incentive for eacort beacons, beyond players having the forethought to insure against the random risk of interdiction and player pirates.
Piracy can be a pain for cargo haulers if your facing server lag problems and time zones mean you can get friends or org mates to do escort. You get jumped to fast and shields melt before you can do anything. getting robbed in a game is fun perhaps once. One solution is NPC freighters for the pirates to chase. Another is to add a bribe pod that has value and buys the pirate off. Booby trapped cargo may create an interesting solution.
I'm thinking that maybe the people working on racing, instead of working on branded fight suits, should work on an ability to spawn racing vehicles at circuits (maybe even get a respawn point for deaths at "activated race track" only). Can't wait for my Zeus!

Ooooooo yeah then if the cargo ship carrying it is disabled or destroyed then the cargo tracker activates and a “rescue cargo” beacon is created for bounty hunters or other “police” type players to go and get it back before it’s unloaded. 🤔
Mike was kinda on the point wrt it feeling like they don't tell us as much. The vague "legacy ship" stuff is annoying; just tell us what ship it is. It's not exactly surprising that most of the monthly report is stuff we're seeing in 3.23, ofc, but other than the brief mention of basebuilding and the talk about engineering (which was... not reassuring; 10 ships? In the six months since Citcon?) there's surprisingly little forward-looking stuff here. Monthly reports have often been a way to gauge what's coming *after* whatever patch is currently in the pipeline but other than "4.0" maybe sometime this year, it's hard to glean what their actual plan is after 3.23. The transit refactor also kinda made me lol bc one of the 3.18 postmortem things was about how they *already* had to refactor the whole transit system for PES and now here we are again. Every fucking year they completely refactor the transit system and it never gets better. I also absolutely hate how they're handling cargo missions. Everything they talked about before is basically out the window, it's still commodity hauling; there's no sense of hauling different consumer goods or anything, just the same raw materials we already move around, just without buying them. It's unimaginative, it doesn't take distance or danger into account in the slightest, and it's driven home by the fact that they clearly see it as a gateway to commodity trading rather than a loop in its own right as it was always meant to be. This is what 1.0 is, clearly. Scrapping old plans, very slightly fleshing out what's already here and funneling people into stuff they've already developed, and phoning it in as hard as possible to get some version of "complete" whether it makes sense or not. The model they describe still leaves cargo hauling as a zero sum game of Volume Above All Else. If you get 20% of the value, you take the highest value cargo and you take the highest amount you can. Just like we do now. No room for small haulers, no room for low-volume/high-value trading. It's literally what we have now, without the buy in cost.
