7.01, where you were yesterday looks like a side view of a face. Yay you found a tree, I can't help but see the area as barren because the ground is largely dark and bare and there are no trees or shubs, I love that the 2nd half started with trees growing into the bridge, as if to say, you have arrived, mother nature resides here. Congrats on that mammoth hike 👏
That really does look like an amazing trail! The geology looks so cool and the views are phenomenal. The blue flowers are indeed lupines - very common here in BC. Creek crossings are hard and often the scariest part of any hike for me. I haven't had to take off my trousers yet though there was one time I should have done as the water got up to my, err, pockets....!
