Happiness is a state of your own consciousness. Nothing external can ever make you achive it . I'm about to start my med school in about 2½ months . I chose it , because the subjects , the content and the outcome makes me happy, they drawbacks ,the pressure and all ,looks to me like the spiciness eveyone needs . Idk about the rest , i'll find my way through no matter what the circumstances.
I'm starting by the end of the week and I was told I won't have a life away from studying so naturally I'm depressed.. However, I'll work hard to have the best life I can dream of. Thank you for the encouragement.
You've got to study a lot but you will have a life. Practice time management skills and deep focus. Be present in the moment whenever you're doing something. I'm a medical student, and I'm still practising this, so good luck!

First year was okay, but I really need to somehow manage my studying more, because at times I feel like I’m not quite learning enough; the information and knowledge slip away.😭 But I’m not that occupied to be honest, because I’m not studying hard enough and also because I like being alone so not going out often is a norm for me.
Its very hard if you have been working to support yourself but if you have goals and youre mind is set to reach that no matter what then only death can stop you from going there. Thats basically my life rn. 😅😅
Here’s the thing though. The USMLE exams, which are written by the same people that write the MCAT, absolutely will determine what kind of doctor you can be. You don’t really get to choose, it is determined by your board scores, and anyone who tells you otherwise, is completely naïve and misinformed. I remember this overconfident guy in my class saying he’s gonna be become a plastic surgeon, and he just scored average on the board exams and ended up becoming a general physician and is deeply unhappy with his life now
A doctor I worked with in ICU was a medic in the SEAL teams. He said the best advice I can give anyone considering going to the military or med school is don't take anything personally. Combine that with focus and determination, you'll be fine

I did not have a life in med school. about 30% of medical students, and I believe its the same number in residency. Have a good support system and pursue your hobbies, be social, the loneliness will kill you before the depression does. Burn out is substantial. You may not even know you are ill until you have so many problems going on.
I graduate a few medical school degrees today. I can’t believe how much degrees I have together I have over 24 bachelor degrees now actually 20 and almost like a lot of master degrees from medical school right now. I am a medical student at Harvard Medical School and got excepted at Harvard medical school in age 10 that’s when I start medical school. My first year was when I was in fifth grade in medical school is a lot of things that I don’t understand but now I understand a lot of things because I have been in medical school long time and this is my 25th year of medical school I can’t believe it. Wow I cannot believe what I am right now I am a girl growing up to be graduating a lot successful girl never giving up by kennesaw kennesaw tell me to never give up, which makes me so good and and successful and everything I cannot believe. I am a successful girl now because from suggestion of kennesaw, she told me a lot of things how much she has been through, and she never give up in her life as a med student. Follow for more.
What about money? I see people living in these nice apartments, buying nice skin care... like how do they buy these things off of loans? or like how do people have money in medical school if you can't work?

Absolutely not too late. Some people have gone through numerous career fields before deciding they want to be in the medical field. sometimes all it takes is to experience what it’s like in one field to decide you don’t like it.
