- Welcome to Train Sim World 2: Southeastern High Speed! In this first run we take charge of a morning St Pancras to Faversham service aboard the Class 395, and for the first time we have a widescreen video! Let me know what you think of it.

Yes, this releases February 4th, but the TH-camr/reviewer embargo lifted at 1300 UTC on Feb 3rd so all your favourite creators are allowed to release videos from this point onwards! And for those of you which haven't realised by now, I also work for DTG, my opinions are my own but feel free to keep that in mind, this is NOT a review!

I've been there for years, however it's only since coming back to TH-cam last year that I have been open about the fact, all things considered it's the most honest and transparent approach

I just picked up the main game for £9.89 at cdkeys...didn't think I'd be a fan of a trainsim but I have to say it's terrific, relaxing to pilot a train, love it. Might have to get this DLC, especially as I hail from Kent.

Nice video, never seen the widescreen format before (still looks fine on my laptop in fullscreen mode), didn't know you gamed at 1440p resolution. Most people still tend to use 1080p instead, so it's good to see that the frame rate kept up nicely (unlike in TS 2021).
The last time I saw you do London to Faversham was back when a random Javelin used to get in the way and stop you from finishing the scenario (in TS, not TSW) so it's good to see you revisit this :)
I like the little speed change sounds from the TVM430, hopefully I'll be able to hear it on the regular in like 20 odd years

The last time I used a train was Westgate-On-Sea to Victoria in May 1985 ! I was heading to Lincolnshire to start my RAF career ;-)
Train Sim World 2 looks impressive. I love that you can move about the train and station the way you can. The entire control system seems more complex than Train Simulator 202x. I'd jump all over this if I didn't already have a lot of money invested in the other game. Maybe one day.

I’m from barnehurst and I’ve only been able to go on the 395 once sadly I hope when they add 465s hopefully it will be on the bexleyheath and erith line if it says on photos it will be going to Charing x

theres some things at sittingbourne that isn't correct ie houses where bungalows are, weird flat tower blocks in the industrial park/ marsh land.
also I think widescreen is a nice touch cant wait to see more vids :)
Rainham is the same, but good representation of the station building. and Chatham doesn't look right at all with the tunnel placements eastbound. The entry into ebbsfleet seems a little 'flat' , I am sure there is more of a elevation change Gravesend side. However, it does play well, and you can't expect photo realism!!
This alone is tempting me to get TSW2

It almost looks like it because of the light reflections but it isn't, going frame by frame you can see that both units are just the typical 10th anniversary variant

To be fair, a few people have gotten "Early access" to this route legally via a simple SteamCMD code.
Also, nice Hornby Decorated Example video reference there, gave me 2010 vibes :)
Was certainly odd when I saw people showing this off even earlier than I was allowed to but oh well lol, not the end of the world. Also, glad you liked the reference, it's a video I've loved ever since I first saw it all those years ago!

I think it's around 75 services
395 is really good! But I have to say I prefer Class 387

I got this line 1 day after release and i have made a viable livery for the 375/9, that being the old southeastern livery with the white and yellow, driving it from rochester to faversham right now

What are your graphics settings on TSW 2? For some reason your game looks so much better than mine. For example, the rails look so much more realistic and do not load in about 2 ft in front of you like they do for me.
well for as long as youve campaigned for medway valley ive been campaigning for the rest of the kent lines to be added, so canterbury, dover, folkestone, ramsgate

Fun fact, after Ebbsfleet International the speed limit goes up to 190mph for Eurostar trains but stays at 140 for SEHS
Because Southeastern trains can't handle 190mph

I have a question, are you driving on timetables or scenarios? I use timetables and I barely see traffic and its quite boring.
Widescreen annoying if in minimized mode but looks really cool in full screen mode

One of the headlines are broken. I only see one lightning at the front of it. Have you tried Danish trains? Or what about Virgin Trains?
Not sure if this is what you mean but British trains only run one headlight in normal running, right side of the train in the daytime and left side of the train at night time if I remember correctly (anyone feel free to correct me)

The widescreen is ok but the horizontal black bars are little annoying. But that doesnt mean I dont like it!

There's a countdown on the steam store page for the pre-order, it ends 1800 UTC so I'd expect it will release at the same sort of time as that ends (will add the steam page link to the description shortly)
So I was under the impression that Stratford International didn't actually have Eurostar trains...
And you would be correct in that, they don't stop there, but they do go through the station on their way to St Pancras

I recommend having motion blur on. Looks much better.
Motion blur can be very hit and miss, in some cases it looks better but then the wheels unfortunately do not, and given how much external camera stuff I do in my own time I usually just leave it off

I like the widescreen but i think 21:9 is a touch too wide, 18:9 would be nicer imo

I find 21:9 a bit too wide on my not too big 16:9 screen. If it's possible you could maybe try 18:9. That would probably be the best of both worlds.
I'd have to see what the in-game options permit, 21:9 works as that's my monitor's aspect ratio, other resolutions might not appear or may start becoming inconsistent between games (which is a right pain), cropping also isn't an option as it'd cut half the HUD off lol

It should be available now on Xbox, if you're going to search for it make sure you search for "Southeastern" and not "south eastern" as it may not appear otherwise
