Keep at it man. It's great to see people your age inspired to create - that's exactly what Ren wants. He's been grafting for 20 years to get where he is and have that platform, building confidence on the streets and learning how to engage an audience. Do you busk at all ? There's tonnes of production in these studio versions of his tracks, with a lot of vocal stacking, compression etc.. However, some of my favourites of his are acoustic versions. Murderer (live) & Bittersweet Symphony (live) for example are both awesome. Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla is outstanding too. Hearing these stripped down versions is so inspiring, they are almost like completely different songs. His earlier work (Freckled Angels album and the Demos (1 & 2)) are also packed full of great tracks, some of which are far less 'produced' and would likely be good to cover especially if you're planning on playing acoustic guitar or piano. Most rewarding is to hear people making cover tracks their own, putting their own style into it rather than trying to copy the original. That's what in the end separates the great from the good, so exploring/working on your own sound and style is everything really. Oh and yeah - I'm useless at editing too - you'll get better with practice !! 😂
Yes definitely do a ren cover. I’ve been doing a lot of his songs on acoustic guitar/singing. My 2 I got down pretty well are the “Fred again mashup” and “Genesis” Hope to see it brotha
Hey, found your channel while scrubbing through Ren reactions. I wanted to say that I really appreciate your ability to make connections to prior Ren songs. I think that you bring interesting insights to his lyrics! It would be interesting to see you (as a fan who knows a lot of the lyrics / lore etc.) do break down videos of some of his earlier music. There are a lot of people who are newly discovering Ren who have no idea that the Freckled Angels album or his early Demos even exist. Having you go back and break down some of those earlier songs that not many channels cover would be interesting. That would also set you apart and make your channel different. Also, having music playing under you while you are talking is very distracting and it makes it difficult to hear you sometimes. That is just sometime to consider as you continue doing this.

@RaccoonToonz it is important to keep growing in what is interesting to you. I've spent the last few days starting to learn python so that I can be more efficient in my endevours to scrub TH-cam for Ren Reactions!
