Maybe it's the perspective of the language (since being Polish I can understand the original lyrics), but for me it's not as much of a critique on general consumerism and need of being up to date on "premium stuff". I mean to an extend sure, but to me this song seems much more personal. Like as if those premium things were sth the lyrical subject was trying to use to fill up some void with, which each time ended with disappointment, becoming a part of a routine (which ties well with the other lyrics on the album like on the track Mix Sałat for example). The parts with the funeral and "buying 2 poems from the best poet in the country" especially point towards this imo. It's like some sort of a realisation of having nothing to offer to the world and those who are dearest to you, aside from money
