This collection is gorgeous, and I particularly like Gilded Rose. That said, I'm always very hesitant to buy thermals because of the limited "shelf life" for color changing. I have such a big polish collection, I don't know that I would be able to wear them much before they became static!
Totally understandable! Although I do find that thermals tend to "retire" into their cold shift and I love the cold version of all of these so I know I'll keep wearing them after they stop shifting haha!!
@@KelliMarissa I find that the color-change is kind of off here, the owner of Painted Polish uploaded a video with these thermals and everyone except one of the Polishes became clear in its Cold state.

@@tracywren9681 How many coats did you apply? They go almost fully colourless under warm enough conditions if you only use the one coat. I got the orange, green and blue and am wearing them right now and from a little distance, the clear looks almost the same, but when I put my hands under the cold tap, suddenly its obvious I have 3 different colours on.
These are just too cool. I love the golden flecks. It's adds so much to the thermal polishes. It makes just a little more special as if they weren't special enough. Gorgeous!!
Gilded Gerbera and rose are my favorites. Beautiful!! And i remember us talking about the wedding nails years ago. My fiance proposed to me last year and we are getting married next spring. Im sticking pretty close to the nude color i wanted, but i want a classic design with minimal accents. Its very different from the sparkly, color changing designs i tend to wear.
It's hard for me to have nice looking nails with my job, but I love to use nail polishes to paint seashells and turn them into necklaces. All of these would be absolutely beautiful on seashell necklaces, plus, if you go inside a building with AC on a 80⁰F day, it's almost as if you are wearing two different necklaces! I've done this with the UV reactive ones and it's honestly the coolest thing ever!
I think i world go with a turquoise wedding dress, with complimentary mint green trim, since they are my 2 favorite colors. For nails, i think i would go with Frostbite with Last Friday Night topper. It's a sentimental favorite, and would actually fit the color scheme!

I got married last June and did a French mani but since I’m obsessed w orange and I had my bridesmaids in varying shades of orange, I put a vibrant orange tip just below the white. It was perfect 🥰 🧡🧡🧡
Oddly I was not a colourful person prior to my wedding and I wore a gold dress with royal purple accents :) my nails were a purple with chunky glitter topper.
Agreed about Painted Polish being one of my favorites. Their stamping polishes are the best available and this collection blew me away. Their thermals shift really beautifully.
The colors are so beautiful in their cold state. I love gilded finishes. I would love to see a collection with the gilded finish in royal blue, emerald green, classic red, pumpkin orange, royal purple, hot pink, Barbie pink etc…Thermal polishes are cool but they don’t have lasting power, I definitely prefer the gilded finishes 🥰♥️

ETA: OMG GILDED PANSY 😱 Also, my wedding dress is going to be emerald green. It's my favorite color, and goes well with my boyfriend's favorite color (purple). On invitations I would tell people to go ahead and wear white, but try to avoid dark green.
I bought the Rose, Poppy, and Gerbera shades as soon as I saw them. Only worn the rose so far but I loved, loved the ombré effect on the tips, the flattering pinky nude of the warm state, and how packed it was with the gold flecks. Think I’ll try poppy next!
I have this collection, and living in a warmer climate mine usually stays in the warm state, so I'm looking forward to cooler weather to really see these change. I can't believe I'm saying that but there you go. Love the video Kelli 💜

Oh yeah I totally think they're worth it! They are usually really sensitive so you can see the change happen on the whole nail throughout the day haha!

How is wearing boring white like everybody else perfect? Its so dull and uninteresting. I can't comprehend why people spend so much on something so bland. Its like the one day you want to stand out and then people wear white. Bleugh. Queen Victoria really ruined how colourful weddings used to be.
I love a good thermal with character and these look like great options. I really like the flakes in the polish and these might work well with shorter nails. It would be good to see you do a short with them as you are wearing them.

You know, I have thought about a favorite thermals video but my problem is, thermals "expire" after a certain length of time and will permanently settle into one color (usually the cold version) and I feel like my thermals aren't all in working order at the same time for favorites videos LOL
I’ve never tried thermal polish and I’m not sure which color I should be focusing on for picking out a shade. What temperature shifts the polish? Do they work all year round? Or not so much in extreme summer / winter? How often is the look an ombré of the colors (how much does it matter if the 2 colors “match“)? Do different brands’ formulas shift better/ faster? So many considerations!
These are so neat! I agree, that purple one is just awesome! I could see you in a pale pale pink wedding gown with a fine gold glitter overlay, maybe chiffon? Where did I get that from ? I have no idea, but I thought it would set off your french mani. :D
I got these polishes recently and am wearing them now. They are very nearly colourless when in their warm state provided you don't layer them up too much. I got full opacity for the cold state (colour) in a single coat. Since they go colourless when warm you don't want to be applying until the colourless is opaque! These are meant to be more sheer polishes anyway. Because I wanted a little more bling from them, I actually added a coat of the Painted Polish Golden Glamour topper on top so that when warm, there's lots of gold shiny stuff (and some holo when you put a normal top coat on to get rid of the matte finish) but not too much colour to lose the effect. I definitely recommend doing something similar if you want more of the gold bits. I know that Golden Glamour is sold out now, but Gilded would probably also work.
As for wedding nails, I'm not really interested in the concept of marriage. Been with my current partner for 13 years this year and marriage is just not a thing either of us feel we need. BUT if for some reason I had to get married (like someone was holding a gun to my partner's head & threatening to kill them if I didn't marry them) then the very last thing I'd want is what most people count as "wedding nails". They're boring to me. I also dislike Queen Victoria's trend setting of wearing white. Prior to her, people wore their best clothes and didn't buy specific wedding dresses unless rich. And if they were rich, wedding dresses were often colourful. To me there is nothing more boring and dull than seeing yet another white/ivory dress. I can't understand why anyone would want to dress in such a boring way for their wedding. Surely you want to stand out, not look like everyone else? So if I had to get married then I'd want to have a colourful outfit and colourful nails. The outfit would also be something which I could wear again and again because I dislike the idea of only wearing the dress once.
From the quick glimpse I was able to sorta get, I think I like these best in one coat. Your hands were cold here huh? 😅 I have poor circulation and my hands run cold, so I think one coat is the best way to get that colorless effect with the lightly saturated tip. Maybe it’s because I’m used to Cirque, but bright to bright feels really common to me. For me, it’s the nude shifts that are rare, hence why I like these “colorless” ones. I have to decide between the green one, blue one, and the rose one. 🤔 I know these came out in Spring but think it’ll be my July polish buy since everyone else is coming out with neons.
I really love this brand - not enough to buy anything yet (pretty picky when paying postage to Australia), but I just love their approach to collections and even just the way their website is laid out!
Pansy is my favourite followed by gerbera. I'll have to see if they ship to England and the cost of shipping. I have previously paid $48 to ship to England for 3 nail polishes before 😱
your idea of the wedding question is actually really helpful for me LOL. i too am very colorful and for my wedding ive been really torn over the traditional, pretty colors and themes... and the nontraditional colorful full of personality colors for my dress, nails, hair etc. but for whatever reason hearing your answer to that question was like a fog being cleared (is that?? the saying? gaining clarity or something? whatever lol) and it's so true, that day will be special because it wont be any random colorful, untraditional day! we'll have so many more of those if we so want, but when else will i be caught wearing all white? lmao
Queen Victoria ruined it for everyone by wearing white for her wedding day. Now everyone wears boring dull white. The exact opposite of special. Its become so generic and boring. Prior to her, people wore their best dresses (whatever they may have been) rather than wasting money on an expensive dress they can only wear once. And those rich enough to have a special dress made wore colours and got to look unique. I can't fathom people wanting to look like nothing for their wedding day. Just white like an A4 sheet of printer paper. Yawn....
I just bought one of those magnetic polishes from DAM. So, as pretty as they are, and I love a good thermal, I might have to pass. But that Gilded Pansy is soooooo pretty! 💅

Oh my gosh - so many thoughts! 1) I adore the colors (both warm & cool) & finish/formula in this entire collection!! Totally on point with what I've been drawn to lately. 2) Is it true that the color-changing aspect of thermal polishes 'expires', aka stops changing after a while?? I don't know much about thermals (I live in Florida where it's pretty much a billion degrees all the time and I don't usually have much free edge), so for these two reasons I've never paid them much mind. 3) If it's to be expected that the color-changing stops after a while, what color are you left with: the warm, the cool or some mash-up of both states? I got these polishes recently and am wearing them now. They are very nearly colourless when in their warm state provided you don't layer them up too much. I got full opacity for the cold state (colour) in a single coat. Since they go colourless when warm you don't want to be applying until the colourless is opaque! These are meant to be more sheer polishes anyway. Because I wanted a little more bling from them, I actually added a coat of the Painted Polish Golden Glamour topper on top so that when warm, there's lots of gold shiny stuff (and some holo when you put a normal top coat on to get rid of the matte finish) but not too much colour to lose the effect.
I definitely recommend doing something similar if you want more of the gold bits. I know that Golden Glamour is sold out now, but Gilded would probably also work.
As for wedding nails, I'm not really interested in the concept of marriage. Been with my current partner for 13 years this year and marriage is just not a thing either of us feel we need. BUT if for some reason I had to get married (like someone was holding a gun to my partner's head & threatening to kill them if I didn't marry them) then the very last thing I'd want is what most people count as "wedding nails". They're boring to me. I also dislike Queen Victoria's trend setting of wearing white. Prior to her, people wore their best clothes and didn't buy specific wedding dresses unless rich. And if they were rich, wedding dresses were often colourful. To me there is nothing more boring and dull than seeing yet another white/ivory dress. I can't understand why anyone would want to dress in such a boring way for their wedding. Surely you want to stand out, not look like everyone else? So if I had to get married then I'd want to have a colourful outfit and colourful nails. The outfit would also be something which I could wear again and again because I dislike the idea of only wearing the dress once.
Gilded Rose is a good color to wear to the Barbie movie :).

From the quick glimpse I was able to sorta get, I think I like these best in one coat. Your hands were cold here huh? 😅 I have poor circulation and my hands run cold, so I think one coat is the best way to get that colorless effect with the lightly saturated tip.
Maybe it’s because I’m used to Cirque, but bright to bright feels really common to me. For me, it’s the nude shifts that are rare, hence why I like these “colorless” ones. I have to decide between the green one, blue one, and the rose one. 🤔 I know these came out in Spring but think it’ll be my July polish buy since everyone else is coming out with neons.
I really love this brand - not enough to buy anything yet (pretty picky when paying postage to Australia), but I just love their approach to collections and even just the way their website is laid out!

your idea of the wedding question is actually really helpful for me LOL. i too am very colorful and for my wedding ive been really torn over the traditional, pretty colors and themes... and the nontraditional colorful full of personality colors for my dress, nails, hair etc. but for whatever reason hearing your answer to that question was like a fog being cleared (is that?? the saying? gaining clarity or something? whatever lol) and it's so true, that day will be special because it wont be any random colorful, untraditional day! we'll have so many more of those if we so want, but when else will i be caught wearing all white? lmao

Queen Victoria ruined it for everyone by wearing white for her wedding day. Now everyone wears boring dull white. The exact opposite of special. Its become so generic and boring. Prior to her, people wore their best dresses (whatever they may have been) rather than wasting money on an expensive dress they can only wear once. And those rich enough to have a special dress made wore colours and got to look unique. I can't fathom people wanting to look like nothing for their wedding day. Just white like an A4 sheet of printer paper. Yawn....

Oh my gosh - so many thoughts!
1) I adore the colors (both warm & cool) & finish/formula in this entire collection!! Totally on point with what I've been drawn to lately.
2) Is it true that the color-changing aspect of thermal polishes 'expires', aka stops changing after a while?? I don't know much about thermals (I live in Florida where it's pretty much a billion degrees all the time and I don't usually have much free edge), so for these two reasons I've never paid them much mind.
3) If it's to be expected that the color-changing stops after a while, what color are you left with: the warm, the cool or some mash-up of both states?
