No Cove is the 'new' singer that joined in 2003 when the old singer decided to leave and join a new band. There's just still a billion sad kids who can't get over the fact that Saosin has a new singer that's just as amazing as the old one but just slightly different.

Yo fools check it out. This place is in encinitas, CA. Its a local cd store, and Saosin was doing an exclusive sigining and a 20 minute show. They played that night at Soma which is like a chain reaction for san diego, but way bigger. Hope that clarifies why the venue is crappy.

Anthony Green left. who else would be there to sing? in MY OPINION, i think cove is probably the BEST replacement singer Anthony could ever have. there's not a single guy out there who can sing songs and sound so similar to Anthony than Cove. He's playing a half step up at the beginning, the root chord he plays in is G instead of G flat like the song is in, so he has to stop and retune his guitar

actually they are all using shure SM58's, which are one of the best mics you can get. this was probably recorded with a phone, which is why is sounds like shit.
Or it's to do because they're musicians that aren't lazy and actually make complicated music making it alot harder to make it sound identical to the record live...

Not even. Cove and Anthony are in completely different vocal ranges... Anthony is a Leggero Tenor who can hit notes all the way up into the Countertenor range... Cove is just a Tenor who pinches his voice. The only other vocalist getting hype out there who'd be able to come close to Anthony in any regard would be Jonny Craig. At least they're both Leggero Tenors... although Jonny can't hit notes in the Countertenor range like Anthony.
id hate to have been there. looks like only 12 people showed up and there are cars driving by and such. plus im not a cove fan that much. i like what he did on the record with all the pro tools but live its nothing pleasant and this live sound kept screwing up its all not right haha.
I like Cove's voice more than Anthony Green's. COVE'S is more of a softer tone than anthony's shreeking voice. Don't get me wrong their both great singers, but Cove is awesome.

the only thing technical with Saosin is the drumming. that and the vocal patterns, but maybe they are only 'technical' and/or challenging to Cove because he never seems to get it right does he? either way they fail live and it's embrassing that a band that quote "made it" can't even play their shit live without fucking up as much as a freshman band class... i watch unknown bands at house shows who completely blow the doors off Saosin when it comes to live quality and live sound.

I support them and all, but this and almost every other live video doesn't really make me want to pay to see them live.

I agree with thefangirl09. It's not like they had the best setup that day. I saw them at taste of chaos and the just about stole the show.
they were having trouble with the amps. beaus amp kept going out i dont think that was their equipment.
