Everyone comments on the batter between Kanami and Misa, but very few people give a shout out to Miku's fantastic guitar playing during this song. It goes to show just how far our Little Pigeon has gone in the few years that she decided to jump in and show what she could do.
She only wrote the lyrics. That was after Kanami presented the music to her. Saiki said she thought Kanami had hate in her when she wrote the music. Of course Kanami denied that. But Saiki wrote the lyrics with that feeling.
Apparently a friend of Saiki's was cheated on by her husband, so yeah, the lyrics a a giant diss track. The second verse is a savage critique of his lovemaking, including my favorite line: "Ten minutes of limp gymnastics". Well, that's how it's translated anyway.
Additionally from all the infidelity comments, Saiki said during an interview back when they were promo'ing the Unleash album, that she enjoyed watching "The Simpson's," where the phrase, "I Hate You" was coined. She wanted to say this line in a song, and the rest is history, Po! 🦍🍌
Saiki letting her feelings about cheaters out! The MISA/Mincho face-off is epic and is one of the best in rock history, imho! Great song, but I will make sure I stay on the good side of Saiki!
The members of BAND-MAID once said this during the MC for a concert in Japan. The English word "HATE (héit)" is pronounced in the Romanized pronunciation as "hate (hǝte, hate)," which means "? =Question mark" in Japanese. So they seem to enjoy pronouncing this song as "Hate (hǝte)?" in the Romanized pronunciation on purpose, not as "HATE (héit)" in English! So, the title of the song, "?" is just a pun that Japanese people can understand. LOL
Akane is the queen of double bass. On the Hollywood Walk of Fame, they didn't want her hands, they wanted her feet.
What a great comment that is, Kevin, wish i'd have thought of it.😁👌

@@Kevin6059 Hey you're right. Don't be surprised if at some point your Akane comment pops up again.😏

Great reaction. After the lyric about “10 minutes of limp gymnastics”, I think they should have called the song HATE!
The song is about a man that could not keep his vows to his wife. Apparently it is about something that happened to a friend of her.
