I've heard some demo tapes played at Imports Etc Chicago in 1983, and I have a few test pressings by Larry Heard/Mr Fingers that were never available on vinyl outside Chicago mid 80's. If you were anywhere between 13-33 in 1982/83 Gay Latino Black or a Northside alternative post punk kid. You heard the best of all worlds in electronic music before people in other major cities.
