I had a 350 out of a 73 Camero. The heads and block have a TON of material to work with. Perfect heads to sink 2.02 intake valves into and port the intake runners. It was the first set of heads I ever worked on as a kid. They worked awesome. My first engine build. It's a very heavy casting.
This is a nice car but wow. Talk about a hodgepodge of parts. According to the trim tag, green is the original color of the car but obviously based on a lot of the red that you saw on the bottom of the door some body panels have been replaced, and the car's definitely been resprayed. What's weird are the painted interior panels because according to the trim tag that car originally came with black interior. It is a factory LT but what's strange is all the SS emblems and the Z28 racing stripes. The poor car's previous owners were having identity crises. 😅
Nice 2nd Gen Camaro! Always liked the '70-'73 best years of this Generation. Type LT, but has the WRONG 2 letters on the fenders and grille! Looks good with the vinyl top and stripes, but too bad for the rust under the top. Otherwise this is a very nice example!! Thanks again, NIck, keep it comin'!!!
Oh, forgot to add :Exhaust needs to come up over the rear end and exit properly too!! And Those cicadas almost sound like you're surrounded by Rattlesnakes!!
I have a '73 LT in my collection. Has orig. 2bbl 350 with factory dual exhaust and thm tranny. Needs some restoring but no rust or body damage. Nice car but does not have the horsepower that the earlier models have.
Gmctim: I bought it in 1975 during the gas crisis. Was 2 years old and only 10,000 miles. I paid $1450 for it. My cars are kinda like my babies lol. Hate to sell them.
Those cicadas must be a pain to deal with. So loud. Really like the color of the Camaro. Would be fun to drive hard. Too bad not a 4 speed. Thanks Nick!
A nice cam and induction setup would do wonders for this beautiful car. A posi with 3.55 rear gears to still keep her highway friendly would top it off nicely
I could not wait for this video - this is the car I have been waiting for! The color, those rims, original motor - WOW! Unfortunately, this car has major issues that will require someone with talent to bring to where it needs to be. Talent I do NOT possess - lol. The trunk looks like a "spray-over-the-rust" job. The vinyl top has got to go and hopefully the roof can be saved. The paint will have to be redone - and the careless overspray draws unwanted attention to the the sheet metal - how much filler is in those panels? A fair price though, for what appears to be a complete drivable project car - IMO. Like others have stated, this one won't last long on the lot!
In comparison to any electric car, I would select this vehicle for daily use. What are your thoughts on the electric Dodge Charger EV? This aesthetically pleasing automobile possesses the formidable strength of traditional muscle cars.
In my opinion, I would stick with the Classics. They’re gonna keep going up in value. That’s why I invest in them each and every year. I haven’t driven an electric car yet but from what I’ve heard they seem to be OK. As long as you’re not in too cold of a climate. I don’t see myself ever purchasing one though. Also feel like with an electric car you can be controlled at any moment by the government. Like they can shut your car off and without a charger what do you do… At least with the Classics, You don’t have to rely on electricity other than your car battery to start it and some gas. Electronics are to the bare minimum so you should be good. Thanks for watching.
I know a lady who has one in her shed that's been there since 73. It was her husband's car. He was shot that year. She was floored when i told her it's value .
Y'all are having a biblical event with those cicadas buzzing around everywhere. Thankfully they are not in my area of Southwestern Tennessee. That is a beautiful Camaro that will sell quickly for sure

Really between your 73 and say a 69 350 2brl car there really should perform about the same.
Wanna sell it ? 😁✌
1973's have pollution pump etc. It is also slighty heavier than similar '69. '69 had 250 hp or about 180 net.while '73 is 140 net.

Normally these videos sound like a car review, but now with all the cicadas it and sound like a horror flick.
Turn down the sound don’t listen easy fix. 😂

When I was young my fathers friend had an LT, we went on a 1200 mile trip, found out what LT stands for (Lotta Tickets)😅

I will patiently wait for you to acquire one that is in the 35-40k range where most of the above issues will have already been addressed!
I'd love to have it
@@johnbedell7217 look at at different dealer then because I have yet to see one like that here. They are ALL projects.
