Hey, thanks for your video. I liked the church and both photos of the bridge. The music that you’ve picked is very smooth and ambient, like the sky shot with pinhole camera, I like it very much.
I can only echo the previous comments about how crisp the images from this camera are! Best I have seen from a pinhole. My favourite image was of the church 👌
Two favorites - the church and top of the bridge. Great leading lines on the bridge. The church has a great mood. I'm just getting the hang of my Mia 6x12 - lots of creative opportunities.
Thank you, the bridge certainly has some wonderful lines to it. 6x12 is certainly a fun and creative format, does take a while to figure it out sometimes though
That Mia camera looks pretty funky with them colorful knobs :-) Looks to me there is more sharpness fall-off to the sides than with the 6X6 camera (which would be logical with the much wider format). I do like the 6X12 format, but I think I prefer the overal image look of the 6X6.
Yeah I do also like the colours, certainly different. I like the challenge of 6x12, need to think a bit more about the overall shot and composition as you're getting much more in, but certainly something very pleasing about the 6x6 format, need to shoot it more.
I really like the 6x12 format, but I find it very hard to compose. Live the shot on the bridge, the contrast, the lines. Lots of good memories from newhaven when I was going there from the over side of the channel (Dieppe)
It is a challenge format to compose, but works really well with the right shot. Newhaven is a nice place, I know I may speak bad if it at times 🫣 but has certainly come on over the years, and loads of great photo opportunities
Nice! 6x12 offers a different view and works well for some compositions. Dont you have some camera friendly gloves? Cold hands are a terrible experience!
Thank you, 6x12 certainly offers a fresh view and definitely works better for some shots. I do have some photography gloves somewhere, I need to leave them in my camera bag really 😔
I love your 6x12 results, Will! Very sharp and little distortion. I have the Mia 6x6 and am having lots of fun with it! Have you tried the 6x9 format on that camera yet? I was wondering how you liked it. Thanks! Anthony
Hi sorry for the delay, not tried the 6x9 yet, I love the 6x12, but will give it ago. the camera has been away on loan for the past few months, so hopefully getting back out with it soon
Another great video. I like the aspect ratio of the 6x12. I’d also be interested to find out or see a quick demonstration of the new changing bag and how you use a box. I keep promising myself that I’ll buy a changing tent but then back out when I see the price. It’s a vicious cycle.
Hi Will, good to see you out and about. I've just watched your previous video and read your '5 Best Large format pinhole cameras' blog, so I'm guessing you want a Reality So Subtle 4x5 Z kit. Have you ordered it yet? I bought one in April 2022 and had to pay £40.00 import duties - courtesy of leaving the EU.
The "benefits" of Brexit, it is a camera I would certainly love, and seems to be what most people are guessing, I'm actually looking at the Harman Titan 4x5, I wanted one when I first got into pinhole photography, maybe wanting to fulfill my long 9 year desire for one. Hopefully be picking one up soon 🤞
Not with a pinhole, I often go past as it's only round the corner from me, I've always struggled with sun poisoning there, often the sun is behind the hill and the long man in the shade. I think a late summer's afternoon/early evening when the sun's still up would work, plan for this year 😉😁
I do hope that you don't mind me asking you another question, but this time regarding film. I find it difficult to see the numbers through the Red Window on the back of the Camera, so please can you tell me what films have really dark numbers on them.
an observation, as i just received this camera a few days ago. if you load it the way you did in the video, which makes sense given the arrows on the knobs, then the 6x9 window is in the wrong position for the frame markers and will show the 645 frame markers instead. for the current window design to make any sense, the arrows on the knobs need to be reversed or the 6x9 window needs to be moved. obviously, this has no effect if you're shooting 6x6/6x12, but it'll wreck your day if you're trying to shoot 6x9.
Interesting, comparing it to another multiple format I can see what you mean. I'm sure it was tested but may be worth messaging Mia just to check with him 👍
What is that thing at your last picture (14:08) at the right side of the picture It is going before the beam standing in the water. So it can not be some froth on the water.
The Ondu is better made and will last a lifetime. The Mia is great and gives great results, but a handmade wooden camera certainly looks and feels better.

Church shot is beautiful Will! Nice to be following you again!
Thank you, was pleased with that shot ☺️
Love the first bridge shot
Thank you, I think that's one of my favourites, I doubt it's the last time I will visit that bridge for more 😁

Thank you Mike, I was pleased with the church image, perfect day for it 😄
12:26 perfect, I would prefer a full photograph to watch first then zoom in within the image
Thank you, I would like to go back and photograph that hut and area in general a bit more. 👍
I liked the hut with the plstic chair and cliffs best!
Thank you 😊, unfortunately that hut has now vanished.
Thank you kindly for the coffees 🙏😁☕
like the look of that camera like the photo of the rails stopping people climbing on the wood beams.
Hi Will, another great video, the church was my favourite. Also enjoy your blogs, cheers from Andrew in Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you Andrew, appreciate it 😊

Nice to see you back Will.... Missed you m8!
Thank you, good to be getting back out 😁
Excellent as always Will. No. 3 would be my fav, the curve of the bridge, the lights and darks. Nice camera.
Thank you Jim, that nice low sun certainly helped ☺️👍

Oooh niiiiiice camera, in more ways than one! ❤ Such "clean" images. Thank you for sharing Will.....Don't make me buy one, pleeeeeeese! 😂
Thank you Jo, it certainly is a nice camera. I'm sure you've got room in your camera bag for another 😉😁😁
Bello, grazie 😊
Thank you 👍😊
Nice!

I was in the same predicament, the tents can be really expensive, I will get some pictures of the bag and box 👍

Have you ever shot The Long Man of Wilmington, out of interest?

The numbers on Fomapan are very bold and clear, Ilford are a struggle to see through the red window
@@WillGudgeon Thank you, your help is very much appreciated.

I'm not sure, I think it's a sun flare catching the side of the pinhole. I thought light leak at first, but no other image has it
@@WillGudgeon Flare seems to be the only reasonable explanation. Thank you. Thank you also for your video and sharing all of your pictures you made.
Hello, is this Pinhole better than Ondu. I am from Slovenia so for me is easier to buy Ondu...
The Ondu is better made and will last a lifetime.
The Mia is great and gives great results, but a handmade wooden camera certainly looks and feels better.
Please would you be so kind as to tell me what make and model of the L Bracket that yu are using in this video.
Thank you !!
Hi Stuart, it's just a cheap unbranded one from AliExpress
@@WillGudgeon Thank you.
