It's crazy of how much this band has been through. I remember back 2001 when I first came across these guys. I was 15. The music video for "Giving in". I was like, "Who are these guys?" Became a real big fan. Then of course, Mark leaving, then getting luke, then he leaves, then they get Bobby, he leaves and mark comes back, he leaves again, then comes back and then leaves again. Effing crazy and at the point, I was just fed up with the band cuz they just could get a singer that would stay and mark couldn't make up his mind. But I got mad respect for them though cuz I thought they were eventually just break up but the stuck with after all those years. Congrats guys.

And with this new song and Ryan Shuck's voice (whose work on Julien-K is amazing), this is one heck of an accomplished comeback. JESUS IT's HERE! I've been waiting for a new album since I was SEVENTEEN! (Kill the Headlights)! I'm 31 now! I've held out hope for this band for SO LONG! This sounds like the old Adema (Marky Chavez era) that matured over time. It's like you guys somehow warped from 2004 all the way to 2021 with what you guys would have sounded like after releasing, I don't know, numerous albums that most bands need to evolve their sound. WHAT?! I started listening to Adema at twelve years old. Listening to the CDs on my Walkman and listening to the clips and samples of Planets on the old Adema website for WEEKS until I got my copy at Circuit City on launch day. Then I remember listening to all the band's updates on Sound Cloud for Kill the Headlights and Bobby's interviews (one of my questions was actually featured in a radio interview with him!) and I had that CD on repeat for months. Then...radio silence. I'd check the Adema Facebook page a few times a year hoping for new. After the announcement of Ryan headlining and doing live shows I was hopeful. I watched the making-of videos you guys posted on Facebook throughout last year and I was so stoked. AND IT'S HERE! I still remember the unofficial Adema forums back in the day that some lady ran (I forgot her name) and after Bobby left Adema the forums closed down, but man. Nostalgia and good times. I'm 31 years old nurse now with a wife and two kids. ALLLL that time passed between Kill the Headlights and now. Jesus. And Adema was always there playing during the hard times I had (and good ones). It's like an old friend coming back after all this time.
I will admit I was a little jaded not seeing Mark on the mic until the dude started singing and it hit me that it was Ryan Shuck. No longer jaded, lol. The song is great. Can't wait to hear the full release.

its funny how despite all the tough times Adema had over the last 20 years compared to other nu metal bands - the Adema sound is the one which prevaled which all the new metal bands from 2015+ are trying to aim for.
@@spitfire656 yeah someone sent this suggestion to me before. They basically just copy the adema sound too. P.o.d. Rapcore style sounds too oldfashioned next to trap etc and melodic linkin park style makes you just sound like a 90s boyband nowadays.

Going through lead singer changes is incredibly difficult for a band. Especially as many as this band has gone through (Mark to Luke, Luke to Bobby, Bobby back to Mark, Mark to Tim, Tim back to Mark, Mark to Ryan). Glad to see that they are finally back.
Adema is almost the only NuMetal band i ever cared about, because they were better than everyone else. First time i ever heard Adema were on Nintendo GameCube of all places in year 2002. Their music video "Immortal" came with "Mortal Kombat - Deadly Alliance".

I'm getting Korn vibes, and that's definitely not a bad thing. I don't know why, but I never really listened to Adema. I knew they existed, and I had friends that really liked them back in the day. But I never sought out their music on my own. I guess I have dive into their discography this weekend.

This is awesome!! Ryan delivers BIG TIME!!!!! I think this is on par with their early work. Their debut album is so good but I really loved Unstable. It sounds like to me that Ryan can do all of that with his voice. He's the best vocalist for them aside from Mark, no doubt. Lets be happy and rock out!!1🤟🤟
Not to shit on the previous singers, but overall both sound and vocals feel like Adema. If I never seen the video and just heard the song I would have sworn Chavez came back. I do give Ryan his due credit for this and his other work, though.

I started listening to Adema at twelve years old. Listening to the CDs on my Walkman and listening to the clips and samples of Planets on the old Adema website for WEEKS until I got my copy at Circuit City on launch day. Then I remember listening to all the band's updates on Sound Cloud for Kill the Headlights and Bobby's interviews (one of my questions was actually featured in a radio interview with him!) and I had that CD on repeat for months. Then...radio silence. I'd check the Adema Facebook page a few times a year hoping for new. After the announcement of Ryan headlining and doing live shows I was hopeful. I watched the making-of videos you guys posted on Facebook throughout last year and I was so stoked. AND IT'S HERE! I still remember the unofficial Adema forums back in the day that some lady ran (I forgot her name) and after Bobby left Adema the forums closed down, but man. Nostalgia and good times.
I'm 31 years old nurse now with a wife and two kids. ALLLL that time passed between Kill the Headlights and now. Jesus. And Adema was always there playing during the hard times I had (and good ones). It's like an old friend coming back after all this time.

I love it, watched all the lives with the new singer Ryan and he has an amazing voice. Kind of reminds me of a Jonathan Rhys Meyers with how he looks.I look forward to the new album! Have listened to Adema since like 2001-2002 probably.
its funny how despite all the tough times Adema had over the last 20 years compared to other nu metal bands - the Adema sound is the one which prevaled which all the new metal bands from 2015+ are trying to aim for.
yes you should also check out a band called tetrach wich is in the same style,very awesome ;)
@@spitfire656 yeah someone sent this suggestion to me before. They basically just copy the adema sound too. P.o.d. Rapcore style sounds too oldfashioned next to trap etc and melodic linkin park style makes you just sound like a 90s boyband nowadays.

Going through lead singer changes is incredibly difficult for a band. Especially as many as this band has gone through (Mark to Luke, Luke to Bobby, Bobby back to Mark, Mark to Tim, Tim back to Mark, Mark to Ryan). Glad to see that they are finally back.
Agreed, everyone brought something unique to the band as well. Ryan's history with the band and passion has me glad they landed with him in the end.
Adema is almost the only NuMetal band i ever cared about, because they were better than everyone else.
First time i ever heard Adema were on Nintendo GameCube of all places in year 2002. Their music video "Immortal" came with "Mortal Kombat - Deadly Alliance".

Ryan was running his mouth and speaking out of place. I don't blame the band firing him. But his voice did fit well with the band. Tim ain't no slouch, though.
I'm getting Korn vibes, and that's definitely not a bad thing. I don't know why, but I never really listened to Adema. I knew they existed, and I had friends that really liked them back in the day. But I never sought out their music on my own. I guess I have dive into their discography this weekend.

This is awesome!! Ryan delivers BIG TIME!!!!! I think this is on par with their early work. Their debut album is so good but I really loved Unstable. It sounds like to me that Ryan can do all of that with his voice. He's the best vocalist for them aside from Mark, no doubt. Lets be happy and rock out!!1🤟🤟

Not to shit on the previous singers, but overall both sound and vocals feel like Adema. If I never seen the video and just heard the song I would have sworn Chavez came back. I do give Ryan his due credit for this and his other work, though.
