I literally started clapping at the end when she finally got it because it reminded me of teaching my first year flutes how to play their music and to see them finally get it is so awesome.
So funny!! But she did REALLY well!! A lot of scary moments during assembly and putting flute away!! Brought back so many memories of my1st days of learning to play (50 years ago) and teaching others to make THEIR 1st sounds with the head joint, then where to place their fingers, and on and on. It's so funny to watch, I'm a flutist too. I play for six years now. I started in 2nd grade, because our teacher also plays the flute. The funny thing is, I wasn't in love with the tone of the instrument, I found it funny when there were a few (Sorry, I don't know the English word) of these press things go down at the same time, like if you play "g" or "b". So I started to play, a few weeks later I already played at a concert and after few more weeks I could go to the youth band in my village. I was the youngest child, who ever came to the band so early. I was quite good. Now I play in the "normal" band of my village, and I am also the youngest who ever entered to the band. I don't have any troubles with playing, beside of marches, I just can't read that fast... But I think it is going to be better in a few months👌
Stitch xx How would you call a place to live with like 1500 people? It's definitely not a city. My English teacher taught me that the word for that is "village". The country I live in has like a rule which is that a place has to have more than 10 000 people living there, to be called a city.

It was pretty easy for my learning flute, especially since I am originally a brass player learning a woodwind instrument felt weird but before I got my flute and was able to learn how to hold an actually flute I got a wooden spoon and put marks on the spoon where my fingers would go so when I got my flute I knew how to hold it I just needed to know where my fingers had to be on what key. And then after like 2 days I knew hold to hold it I just needed to practice how to play one more note everyday.

I remember before start studing transverse flute 20 years ago...i asked a friend to lend me her wooden flute to practice the embouchure thing for not feeling ashamed on my first class lol. Though of course i've already had my brand new Yamaha flute in my hands and everything went right. Not an airy sound first class.! Although i felt nervous. I remember my teacher explaining me how to do the D from the second octave and i couldn't do it. Lol. It's the most stupid thing. Just i had to raise the index finger of my left hand. But the way he told me confussed me. He said "SHIT" to me. Lol. But in spanish cause im argentinian.
Could you do a video of how to teach someone how to play flute? Like what you should teach and some good methods to go about teaching them. I am looking into teaching the beginners at the middle school next summer but I am not sure exactly how to teach them. Like I know what to do and what they need to know but I don't know how to explain/teach everything...if that makes sense.

So i saw that u had the sonare sp500 piccolo have u gotten a new lately because i have just recently put a guo new voice piccolo in layaway and i almost have enough to pay iff but i just find out they have the sonare sp-500 in their store i now know it is discontinued and there asking about 700$ with tax and my guo was about $811 with tax and i was wondering if u could do a review or tell me your thoughts on investing in the sonare sp-500 i know the guo piccolo is just what im looking for and i tried it out and it was amazing im going by today to go try out the sonare but how is it to u i trust your opinion thx alot

I have a Bundy/Selmer Flute I am renting as I learn to play(3 months in 14 year Tenor Sax player tho) and it came with a metal cleaning rod. Can you or somebody please explain why I shouldn't use it?

This reminds me of when the flutes in hand were doing a solo and they all slowly drowned out and I played the last 10 measures of on the house top all by myself
I noticed that my flute's crown looked unscrewed and just a little bit shaky (not much) and so I tightened it up finger tight. When I played, I felt like it didn't play like before because I was using up more air and it didn't sound quite the same. Scared I ruined it, I looked up online that the crown should be finger tight, but I still feel like it's still different than what I played before... Am I just being superstitious or did I really mess up? Any advice...?
+Sam Ardery If your flute sounds different after screwing in your crown, you may have pushed it in, so take your tuning rod, and on the bottom there is a line. Put the bottom part in first into your head joint, like you are cleaning it. Look though the tone hole, and if that line is in the center your cork is in line. If not, ask a lesson teacher or band director to push in or pull out the cork so your tone is better. Hope this helps.
