Great time of year to be visiting. Your second bear guess was right - black bear even though brownish color, definitely not grizzlies. The fishing fly is a beadhead woolly bugger. The cutt was a Yellowstone cutthroat so yeah, good guess! - it has spots below the lateral line. Westslope cutts lack spots below that line. The fossil in the rock is a crinoid stem. Haha, jeez, Ned the know it all, Lol
@@NWFishingSecrets there are also lahonton cutthroat trout that are native to pyramid lake, Lake Tahoe and some other streams and lakes in the northern Nevada and California. They get massive and it would be awesome to see you fish at pyramid lake!
Sorry guys but I have to disagree, that bear had a hump on its front shoulders. No hump black bear, no matter the color, but hump equals grizzly. But black bears do come in black, brown, cinnamon, and blonde.
I would like to see it too. Maybe get some stream fishing in there, the fishes color and markings look so good. I missed out on fishing when I was there.

Big fan of all the famous mountain men. I was a fur trapper as boy and young man for 22 years up in Alaska. In Cody Wyoming there's a hot springs named after John Colter, called "Colters Bileings" sic.

Grew up in the southern Appalachian mountains along the Tennessee/North Carolina border,known around here as the state of Franklin (but old Ben never got his state). Yes please a Yellowstone fishing video! I believe that was a beautiful westslope cutt.. I could be wrong. Also I believe you were correct in the bears being brown colored black bears.. cool footage. The fossils in the rock could possibly be from lake Bonneville a huge ancient lake which created much of the snake river valley. It's pretty awesome history. I'm originally from Boise. On your trip the craters of the moon may be worth a stop. Lava tubes and crazy landscape of hardened lava in the middle of the desert/mountains. If you go I 84 a must stop (in my opinion) is Shoshone Falls in Twin falls Idaho which are taller than Niagra falls. My fam and I are going to Yellowstone and the grand tetons (which is close to Yellowstone) in July. Can't wait!

Awesome video dude loved it I was in Yellowstone many years ago,I’ve never forgotten a thing about that beautiful place.wen I was there old faithful went off every 45 minutes a lot has changed there’s new geysers that weren’t there and some have went dry now.thanks for taking us along.😊☮️

Brings back memories. I left WA and lived In various locations in WY for about 17 years. Simply can’t beat the outdoor opportunity to,fish and hunt year round like they have. Long as you dress for the weather there is a place to go anytime. And once you learn you spots you generally have few to no crowds to negotiate.
