I too love watching actors work, I have a hard time just watching a movie without thinking about how wonderfully the actor is portraying so many complex layers of being a human (or badly some times 😅) A good actor can teach me a lot about understanding and reading people in real life.

I took notes and turned what you said into a list of affirmations...sort of...or a to do list of sorts and I'm getting busy....Im going to call it my "WWWTMTDN" list (What would Wendy tell me to do it next) And read it every darn day until they are a reality. I have a commercial agent and a theatrical agent I have booked a commercial I have had a five and under on a television show I have relationships with casting directors and they know me I do workshops with casting directors I know how to follow up with casting director so they get to know me I have an acting postcard, business card and website I know what a one sheet is I have a profile on IMDb Pro I have a great demo reel I have a sizzle reel and a mini log I have tons of acting training with great teachers I have taken a cold reading class and a scene study class with top teachers I have several monologues prepared that completely for fit my type and work for me I know my type I know how I'm going to be cast I know what TV shows I'm right for I know which casting directors cast those shows I have taken commercial training classes I have taken acting callback classes I know who to coach with when I have an audition I know who to coach with for costars or guest stars I have had a good speaking role in the film short film, an indie film and a feature film. Onwards!!!
Ive been wanting to act for a couple years now, I've always loved acting but I've never considered being one because I'm still a teenager and now I've been watching every video for acting that I can find because I live in a super small town that has no acting classes for miles and no drama club at my school so I can't act without moving and I can't move without being an adult. So your videos really help me learn things early on and I'm very thankful.

I am learning so much from watching all your videos. We are from canada. One question: our coach told us to send a thank you to the director and/or agent after we are done a project. I handwrite my thank you notes. I wanted to send one to the director because he did something very sweet for me specifically but it was a feature film, do i send it to my casting director for the director or can I send it to him directly. Is that bad manners if I send it directly to the director?

Wendy, thank you for inspiring me. I am really going to start working towards becoming an actress. You and my grandma have really thought me many things mainly about following my dreams. Not that I would want to become famous but because I'm really starting to love it. The business portion and things like that seem really appealing to me and scary but that won't stop me. I really hope someday that I can meet you. Legally when I'm old enough and I can move on my own, I'm going to move to Burbank because it's not to close LA but it's near by. I am going to start my career there and I'm just starting high school so I'm going to do all the plays I can and do drama club and take part in my local theatre and just do everything I can to help myself start this career. I will save all the money I can before starting this career and moving. My parents on the other hand, aren't much help to me and I don't know what to do because they don't seem to want to help me. They are amazing but strict and stubborn. I'm torn. Many people are happy that I'm trying to do what I love but not them. I am learning so much from watching all your videos. We are from canada. One question: our coach told us to send a thank you to the director and/or agent after we are done a project. I handwrite my thank you notes. I wanted to send one to the director because he did something very sweet for me specifically but it was a feature film, do i send it to my casting director for the director or can I send it to him directly. Is that bad manners if I send it directly to the director?

He's in his second year at Terry Knickerbocker's studio, still over-anxious. Should he have someone re-do his demo reel? Not enough close-ups there, not the best-made student films. Any suggestions?

Wendy, thank you for inspiring me. I am really going to start working towards becoming an actress. You and my grandma have really thought me many things mainly about following my dreams. Not that I would want to become famous but because I'm really starting to love it. The business portion and things like that seem really appealing to me and scary but that won't stop me. I really hope someday that I can meet you. Legally when I'm old enough and I can move on my own, I'm going to move to Burbank because it's not to close LA but it's near by. I am going to start my career there and I'm just starting high school so I'm going to do all the plays I can and do drama club and take part in my local theatre and just do everything I can to help myself start this career. I will save all the money I can before starting this career and moving. My parents on the other hand, aren't much help to me and I don't know what to do because they don't seem to want to help me. They are amazing but strict and stubborn. I'm torn. Many people are happy that I'm trying to do what I love but not them. But I just wanted to say thank you for helping me with your videos because they've been helping me a lot lately. 😁💜

My career has been growing! I was told by Angelia Peri at Boston Casting I was her "new favorite actor" when I auditioned, got called back 3 times for day player role in "American Hustle." Asked to audition for day player in "The Equalizer" in one of those callbacks. I got neither of those roles BUT I know I must cultivate those relationships so I keep getting called in. Two local commercials, 1 commercial in Boston Market, one industrial, local feature filming this April, premiere of local indie, and supporting role in "Anatomy of the Tide" is making festival circuit. Now researching targeted cd's and training in NYC.
