Man, what a treat! Left the room and forgot I pressed play only to walk in wondering whose voice I heard screaming - it’s Rowan!? ( 8:42 ) 😂 Thanks very much for uploading this gem!
Thank you very much for this upload. I saw this on Greek television decades ago. It’s nice to see Rowan Atkinson in his early roles, which are very good.
Funny but I never remembered seeing this series on Greek television. Seven X did some reruns, ERT and later the Parliament's channel aired Blackadder but I think it's already 15 year ago
This was hilarious. Brilliant comic writing and acting. I'm feeling both astonished and fortunate to have come across this today, feels totally fresh. I thought I'd long since already seen all Rowan Atkinson's early productions, and all of them repeated at least thrice each.
Anyone wondering who the doctor is,. actor is the late and (frankly) brilliant Nigel Hawthorne, (Yes Minister and The Madness of King George). The dithering Reverent is actor Jim Broadbent (Only Fools & Horses).
@@dianefields6056 He was in three episodes of Only Fools, playing the recurring character Roy Slater, an old despised classmate of Del's who grew up to be a bent copper. He was also Racquel's first husband. A very fine villainous performance from Broadbent, who as you say is a prolific character actor with a great many excellent roles in his CV.

Does anyone remember a Rowan Atkinson skit where he is on a train and he says “are you gay?” to a passenger? Punchline is that it’s the gay only carriage. I saw it decades ago and have never seen it since.

Beautiful comedy but it's important to be aware that to get into heaven is not about what we have or haven't done, it's about whether we have believed in Jesus and repented of our sins!
Don't think i've ever seen that before. Love Atkinson. Blackadder was amazing from start to finish.
Thanks for all your AMAZING work getting these hidden gem of movies for us all to enjoy! ❤

Jim Broadbent in Only fools and horses? I don't think so. Bridget Jones' dad and many others.
