I understand wanting to get coverage of this and all, but all the reporters really pissed me off. We were trying to find survivors in hotels and so on through out Ringgold and several news reporters continued to get in our way. It came all the way through polk county Tennessee and we lost hugh trees on our property. I was on our back deck when I saw and heard it crossing the Hiwassee river. Amazing.
These is absolutely no way it only killed 7. One family of 4 died, we saw bodies all over the neighborhood. I guess they didn’t want to cause panic but there was WAY more deaths and injuries then they reported. Worst day of my life.
I'm a proud Ringgoldian! Four years later, the memories of this day still bring tears, but they also bring pride - pride in the way that our community came together to grieve and rebuild. I love my town!

IKR. I live in East Ridge and can reach Ringgold in 10 minutes.😂
