They butchered the Apocrypha Rerun banner, so I kept waiting...
Then they delayed this banner by a month, so still I kept waiting...
And then they put her on the very last rotation after all the x2 XP events ended...
And the end result...is a very questionable rate-up.

The 4* CE, 3* CE, and 3* Servant results are explainable by the multi-roll gimmick. However, the 4* Servant rate-up is 2/3 what it should be, and I do not think "bad luck" is a reasonable excuse with 1859 pulls and an overall 4* Servant result of 2.42%.
I should have gotten at least 6 more copies of Atalanta, which would raise her up to a 1.34% result, and raise the overall 4* Servant result to 2.74%.
For those who aren't aware, the Thanksgiving 2023 banner is a butchered version of the Apocrypha Blu-ray release banner from JP server. They replaced Karna with Kiara, Jeanne Ruler with Abigail, and Jack with Kama.
That being said, it's ironic that they replaced Jack with the God of Love since Atalanta doesn't really understand love.

1) In Singularity 3, Artemis receives the message from someone she knows (Atalanta), and comments that this person is still stiff "Perhaps because she's a pure girl who's never known love?"
2) At the end of Circe's Interlude, Atalanta says "I have no real experience in romance myself."
3) Atalanta is known for being a virgin, and it is still not confirmed in FGO if she was ever in love (Meleager for example), or what the nature of her marriage regarding the Golden Apple is (all we know is that the Golden Apple exists and happened).
4) Atalanta's perception of love is extremely negative. Her Goddess Artemis is love-crazed for a playboy. Her friend Medea was influenced by a god to love Jason, which ended in tragedy. She gets sexually harassed by David in Singularity 3 and the Final Singularity. If Atalanta's legend about being forced to marry because of the race she lost ends up being canon to Fate lore, then she has even more reason to despise love.
5) Looking at it from a different angle, Kama is the Goddess of love, which means she's probably an expert. In Ooku 10-6, Kama says "The perfect lover should never betray you." Betrayal is something that Atalanta does quite frequently because she places her goal of saving children above all else. This is a core part of who Atalanta is in the Fate universe, and may even interfere with Atalanta's capacity for love; she will always choose her goal over something like love.

@@genesisbustamante-durian The "love" that everyone says she doesn't understand is the romantic kind, not maternal love. Hence my initial comment on it.
As for your new inquiry, yes, Atalanta loves children, but I hesitate to count this as understanding love (for speculative reasons). It can be argued that Atalanta's love for children stems from personal morals or even guilt instead genuine love.
The personal morals could be due to her own abandonment as a baby. The "guilt part" could be from being unable to help Medea, or worse...
To spare you an essay, it could have something to do with the parts about Atalanta's lore that are not yet confirmed in Fate lore, specifically the irony of whether or not Atalanta gave birth and abandoned her own baby. Again, this is speculative.

I feel you. I was going to roll for Atalanta Alter copies but with how they changed the the banner up that wasn't the plan anymore. Then they put Atalanta on last day so the spare sq I had from the other targets ended up going to ryouma banner. I'm still going to toss whatever I get at her banner for the chance to get more copies for coins.
Best of luck. The rates look real questionable. Since this is an NA exclusive banner, I wouldn't be surprised if they messed up the rates again.
The fact they put her in Kama's banner and not Jeanne's just for the meme was a huge missing opportunity

That meme isn't even a good meme. Originally it was supposed to be Jack on the banner, which a lot of people forget that Atalanta was the one that actually killed Jack.
Similarly, Jeanne Ruler was supposed to be with Frankenstein Berserker, which makes sense since they're pairing their summer version together.

Not sure what you mean by that. Besides, I've been thinking about retiring from FGO once Atalanta reaches Bond 15. I certainly considered staying longer, but very recently I just got a strong incentive not to via Copyright Strike from Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.
If the strike is not withdrawn, then I'll discontinue making solo videos. And since these solo videos are the only thing keeping me in the game, I will simply lose interest and inevitably quit FGO.

It is to prepare for the inevitable greed of this gacha game. You'd best turn around and walk away. The Game Awards just happened, so look at the trailers for upcoming games and pick an actual game to play.
For years, we never needed Servant copies for anything except NP level (which capped at 5), but when the developers raised the Servent level cap to 120 roughly 2.5 years ago, they invented the WORST possible thing any gacha game can make: Servant Coins.
Servant Coins are used to upgrade your Servants further, but not all of them are treated fairly, and 4* Servants like Atalanta got the worst end of it- now requiring 16 copies to max them. Care to imagine how many copies L150 would require should they ever raise the level cap again?
@@order5904It really doesn’t make any sense except greed that 5 stars are considerably easier to 120 needing only 6 copies while 4 star limiteds are like 11 I think on top of story ones being even more non conceivable to 120 due to how servant coins work could’ve been a good feature if they had used bond for appends instead of copies

Ever since 3rd Anniversary...? Depends on what you count as "saving".
After I initially got Atalanta to NP5, I was saving for important Craft Essences that I'd need for soloing, then I planned on rolling on whatever Servants that I like. However the stupid Coin system came out on JP, and that's when I redirected my savings, and put a hard cap on rolls. I basically only rolled on one or two banners each year.

@@skateboardmd9163 No, I do not. Those were all easy skips. Merlin, Reines, and Castoria are the only meta units that are actually practical outside of farming, and thus the only 3 that I'd even consider rolling for.

How do you carry so many servants and craft essences over the limit?
It's only temporary. I still have to clear it out before doing any quests or FP summoning.
As far as I'm aware, any summoning on any of the Saint Quartz banners will let you go far beyond the inventory limit. I don't know if there is a hard limit like FP Summon, which is 100 past whatever your inventory limit is.

@@stanlyaateja7778everyone saved up a lot most people won’t go in a Banner unless they have like 800 quartz and they say Np6 cause they need that to max the Append skills. (In Japan due to a bad update that got increased to 8 copies)
I don't understand the point of this summon. Why summon for 19 Atalante? Is this just a throwaway account bought on ebay with free quartz?
It takes 16 copies to max her, and when they inevitably raise the level cap again, it'll probably take even more. Since this is probably going to be her last solo rate-up for 170,000 years. I might as well spend everything and get as many as I can.

Append skills require 120 coins each. So total I'd need 16 copies. And Atalanta only gets like one solo rate-up every 700,000 years, so it's better to get extra now in case L150 requires even more copies.
