D8 Boron Neutron Capture Therapy [HL IB Chemistry]

Non toxic B-10 is in a chemical attracted to head/neck cancer. The head is then irradiated with neutrons (also non-toxic). When these combine with the B-10 they make B-11 which is an alpha particle emitter. The alpha particles only travel a very short distance but destroy the cancer cell.
