It's outrageous that they would put all this design work into something, see serious success, and basically cease all production of its most interesting parts. Great list Tom, but sucks that you can't get most of this. And all of the stuff likely coming to retail will be heavily weighted towards adding heroes, with the vast majority of villains never getting further production. Hopefully they're just playing coy about further drops. X-men is in they're top 3 best performing Kickstarters to date.
Thank you for this series, really interesting. Would it be possible to continue the series on Marvel United with a sort of "buying guide"? With so much material available it is difficult to decide where to start.
Great top 5! I definitely agree with Sentinels being number 1! We play with a wandering Deadpool and Sentinel in each game! But so fun to have to actually battle them right from the get go!
I originally passed on the DoFP set but instantly regretted it and got myself a copy. It is indeed one of the best box sets for Marvel United and worth every penny.
Interesting that Tom has noted many times that most coops are designed to be TOO HARD, and he likes Marvel United because its not that, but most of his villains that he ranks in the top ten are the hardest, and he loses to them most of the time.
The Sentinels haven’t hit for me the way Sinister Six or even Thanos did. I find the Nimrod track more frustrating than anything. I also thought that it would be fun, thematically, to play as Kitty Pryde. But she has so many special abilities that the Nimrod track gets totally out of control immediately.
@@IamJFD yeah the Sentinels themselves are fun. They just don’t last that long, at least at 2 players, and if they do you’re in deep trouble. With Thanos, it’s more that I enjoy the challenge of getting through The Black Order with 0 or only 1 infinity stone. Just a bigger experience, for me.
@@bones983 maybe try it at 3p and 4p? As to thanos children theyre uninteresting for me. Theyre too weak to the point im not challenged at all, and it just feels like work/chore with no fun. And it feels weird to use different villains in the thanos campaign.

Totally going to try the sentinels challenge added to Red Skull. Great review Tom!

It seems he played the game at least more or less around 100 now. So he is probably at a level he wants to be chalenged than win with no effort.
Love these.
Loved this series
Days of future past is the MUST have expansion.

I find sentinels way way better villain than S6 and Thanos.
It is more strategic and thinky than wishing the luck of the draw make you win.

I thought the Sentinels were a bit disappointing. Hopefully my first try with them was an anomaly.
Bum bum bum baaaaa! 🎵
Top five yes!
