Friends, in another ELF video Emily recommends the solid brush cleaner. I bought it my next ELF order and my GOSH it's great. I am now much better about cleaning my brushes when I should because it's such a simpler process. ☺

That mascara is prob rated high because the brand doesn’t have many mascaras and they’re all not great. Mascara has always seemed like an afterthought for the brand, I’d love to see them focus on mascara and put out a couple of great ones.
Comparing concealer to peanut butter has me imagining a world where “chunky” concealer exists. Why does this make my skin crawl 😂.

The cream blushes have the name printed on the side of the container. It’s hard to see but it is there.
Love these types of videos, there are so many beauty brands, a person can't possibly try everything so it's great to know the best of each line.... maybe you can bring back the top 5 bottom 5 tutorials?
Elf has so many great products they could benefit from a great mascara! It’s one product the line is lacking
I was just talking about this very thing & it’s true, mascara seems like the one thing they’ve never really gotten right & if they created 1 or 2 GOOD mascaras, it would really be a brand where people could get everything they need from them & at awesome prices! A good Mascara is the 1 thing that’s missing.

I love their CC cream but I was astonished that it was $14! Which is great compared to $39 for It Cosmetics CC but a little sticker shock for Elf.
Emily was totally right about the Hard Candy primer being very much like Tatcha. Skinskool website is dedicated to finding actual dupes & claims it’s an 80% dupe. (Bet the 20% difference is the nice skincare ingredients Tatcha includes). I love the HC primer 💚💜♥️

I love the elf cream contour palette; it's my go-to for contouring. I feel like it's so difficult to find a true cool-toned contour shade, especially at the affordable price point. So many brands have products labelled contours, but they are such warm tones that they are actually bronzers. I'm going to be purchasing the elf powder contour palette, and i am very interested in the Smashbox face palette. It also looks like it has a proper cool-toned contour shade.
Oh me too! I absolutely love their cream contour palette too. I cream contour every single day! I have a SUPER cool undertone & so I NEED a truly cool contour shade & theirs is proper colors 💜💚♥️
I adore ELF! They have quickly become my fave line as a whole! I especially love their bote sized blush n highlighter duo in Watermelon, putty blush in Bora Bora , putty bronzer in Tan Lines (i need to try more from each of these groups!), the primer infused blush in Always Rosy!! That last one surprised the heck outta me.
Oh! The Slick Sheer lipstick in BlackBerry! Total Clinique Black Honey dupe! And i love the Hydrating Core Lipstick in Ecstasy i think it is? It is a deeper purple shade. Sheer enough to be wearable with everything! Gosh..i just love ELF. N i need to try more shades n more products! Oh! The dual sided complexion brush..one side for face, the other side is a smaller brush for concealer. Love it. N i love the putty blush n bronzer brush! It is a smaller, stipple, almost paddled shaped brush that works beautifully to apply to putty products as well as to blend them seamlessly. Oh..n the ELF shadow stick in Magnetic Pull! No creases! Taupe with a bit of a warm flip to it..nice, satin finish. Stays put n blends out beautifully. Again..i need more shades! I need everything from ELF!! N it is so affordable, that isn't completely out of the realm of possibilities!
I really love the halo glow loose powder -but NOT for under the eyes!!! I use the No 7 lift and Luminate in the silver packaging for under eye setting with my Elf tapered brush -and spray the brush with the Elf coconut setting mist after applying-With a pressing motion--works great for my almost 58 year old very dry under eyes 👍🏼💕 Lasts all day with no creasing or emphasizing dryness or texture❤️🥰

The putty blush is by far their best product launch. I prefer that over high end creams! You can use that over a set face if you want! That cream to powder finish is just amazing especially for that price.

I’ve been loving the putty primer trio (poreless all over, matte down my t-zone, luminous as highlight!), Magic & Mist spray, the putty blush in Bora Bora, the Halo Glow setting powder, the plumping gloss in Pink Sugar, Hydrating Camo concealer (light peach like you, Emily. That’s been my best color match for any complexion product I’ve ever used! 💗😭)
Also been liking the no budge shadow sticks; just so pretty and quickly applied for a light look.
Really looking forward to trying the Camo CC cream, the jelly highlighter, BiteSize shadows, and the Holy Hydration line!💗

The elf bite sized eyeshadows are perfect because you can use your bronzer and blush as a transition colour without having that extra shade! I love how small and compact they are !
I’ve been using Elf a lot over the last year. The halo glo setting powder, the cream blushes, seriously satin lipsticks, camo concealer, all the putty products, the bite size eyeshadow. They have a ton of good products 💖
I like the halo powder for setting under eyes. It does an amazing job of not looking to dry and sets concealer beautifully. A real gem at its price.

The Halo Glow powder is not for everyone, but I think it works really well on very dry skin and textured skin. Most powders still look, well, powdery on me even after I spray on a setting mist. That one doesn't. It looks very subtle and healthy on top of dewier products. Different strokes!
I like the Halo Glow powder to set my under eye area.
@Vicki Weber me, too! I use so little powder that it seems unnecessary to spend a lot on it for dusting lightly on various areas. The only things in really glad I spent more on are two Laura Geller products - the baked balance 'n brighten powder foundation and the universal radiant finishing powder, which is multipurpose depending on how much and what brush you use. I use it as a highlight, mainly, and it doesn't accentuate lines and texture. The powder foundation is excellent over a light moisturizing tint or bb/cc. 👍

I was wondering if you would do a blind test of different products. Your family member would wrap it up or repackage and you test them and see if you still feel the same away about them. Foundation powders or anything that could be ambiguous and not guessable from packaging. Blind test. It would be interesting.
Quads are the most versatile in my opinion like the contour palette. A light matte shade. A shimmer, a matte mid and deep brown. Done!

@Hannah Howell The 1st time I noticed it was when Emily was reviewing the latest launch from Mario. She used the eye base that’s in the eyeshadow palette & my 1st thought was, “whoa! Who just turned the lights on in Emily’s face?!” It REALLY stood out to me. But from then on, I would notice a slight difference in how shadows look once they’ve been put in the crease & it’s just so much different from when her lids were blanked out from that base. I have some annoying ruddy, redness & veins on my lids so I get it, but it just doesn’t have the same impact when I conceal lol. But gosh, it’s just so beautiful & brightening. I would even say it makes her look younger too.

I really like the putty blushes from ELF almost better than my Fenty ones. I just tried the Camo CC cream and WOW! I am not a full coverage girl but the finish was beautiful. My husband even said my skin looked amazing! ELF has a putty brush applicator that is great for the blushes too that would be worth trying out.

Next time you go to the Catrice site, pick up their prime & fine smoothing primer in the little jar (if you haven’t tried it already.) They have several primers and that one is also like a less hard elf putty one,

The lightest highlighting shade of the ELF eyeshadow quad would also make a great cheek highlighter, as well as under the browbone. Great for traveling!
I don't recall if it was on the package, their website, or their how-to video, but Real Techniques said to use a dry sponge if you want more coverage, and a dampened sponge if you want sheer coverage. But honestly, when I pick up my sponge I always forget that because I have never seen a makeup artist before David recommend a dry sponge,. Y'all have programmed me to dampen it!

I dab into both of the matte shades in my cream and sugar palette and kinda create my own transition shade. I’ve used my bronzer with those shimmery shades too. I love that little palette! Beautiful look on you!!!

Totally agree on the Hard Candy primer!
A lot of times small palettes don’t have deep enough shades for darker skin so I’m really not mad at the cream and sugar palette. If it doesn’t work for you get one of the many, many palettes that are made for your skin color. So, you know, basically all of the other ones.

I have the Elf camo foundation and really enjoy it! It stays well for me on a 12 hour shift which is good.
Mixing the light and dark shades in the eyeshadow quad works too!
I agree about the mascara. It just doesn’t do enough for me. The wand is good to go through and separate lashes after using another more volumizing one

I love my elf products. The bite sized blush and eyeshadows, and the jelly highlighters and primer infused blushes. I’m also super excited for your dupes video!! You do such an expert meticulous job. ❤️ I also love the mineral infused mascara.. it’s not good for volume but it separates, lengthens, and defines my lashes, which is my personal preference. 😍 it is a wet mascara, probably not an Emily fave.

I love that Hard Candy primer (rec from you 😆) and I warm it up between my fingers before applying. I really notice a difference in pore blurring around my cheeks and nose.

Yes I’m so extra I use that sponge for my concealer but a regular sponge from wet n wild or from Juno & co for foundation, or other creams. 2 sponges every day seems crazy but it works!

ELF brushes are some of my favorites. They are super cheap and they don't shed. They do the job just fine. I recommend them a lot.
