I love the energy where you are going! There are also a lot of changes in my life at the moment, kinda cool stuff is happening everywhere. Your schedule for the next year looks great. So I have something to come back to when I can't find a new job 😂😂
I'm sorry to hear about all those technical difficulties... What I do, if it helps at all, is emulate the games like GB/GBA/DS/3DS that are hard to get footage of "legitimately", and then I run OBS in the background to screen capture my play, and it works pretty well in my opinion. Maybe that will help! I also just wanted to say, I did a brief shout-out to you in my most recent video, talking about Mega Man 4 for a Halloween special -- I hope you get a chance to check it out and had a happy Halloween! My OBS recordings were used in said video for Super Mario Land, for example, so you can see how that looks there. I believe I recorded all my other games via capture card. I look forward to more Retro break!
I've been using OBS to record the next top games video and it's working great so far, also thanks for the shoutout, just watched a bit of it, great video! Hope you keep growing your channel! Good luck! :D
I'm sorry about the setbacks you've had. Respect for you with sticking with it. I'll be at the London Gaming Market on the 10th, should be at my usual spot. Hope to see you then.
I was so happy to meet him! And for him to already know who I was, and be happy to meet me too was the icing on the cake! Great guy, enjoyed hearing his thoughts on music production during the panel too! See you at the market soon :)
I just want to say thank you for the incredible effort you put into your channel. I don't know how you find time for everything you have going on, but it's super appreciated. Looking forward to the upcoming videos, especially Game Boy history! P.S. Thank you for persisting with GBC top games part one. It's one of my favourite videos you've done.
Thank you! It is a massive effort, but I really enjoy it, so I’m glad people continue to watch, and the channel is growing enough to allow my to buy upgrades like the new Mac! Looking forward to making the new videos!
Hello Retro Break, I can relate to this, I use a capture card to record my videos and it's like my 10 year old laptop is on fire while I'm recording on OBS! I then use clipchamp to then put the video together. I'm still very much learning. Really nice Sonic the Hedgehog art too! How about you go for a 'refresh with retro break?'
I wish you lived near me, I would have been able to help you with all of this so easily. I build computers free for people (cost of parts) if you live in the US, I have a business doing it and would be more than happy to build you a newer better computer. Also, when recording with an emulator, use OBS or NVidias built in recorder.
Can you share some info around the chromatic display? And maybe how you felt playing it compared to some of the other popular machines? Pocket vs FPGBC, etc.
@@RetroBreak thanks, I'm really considering an FPGBC, or a Pocket for that "end game" GB/GBC gameplay. Would love to hear what you think of them and how they compare to the Chromatic. Really intrigued by that screen they've got, but it's gotta be good to beat out the incredible screen on the Pocket!

No, I do like it, but had some comments on my video saying that the RT4K is better and has better deinterlacing, it's not a priority upgrade but sounds like it's the preferred choice for a lot of people from what I've seen online..
I'm sorry this is off topic, but I am curious if you will be hosting another gameboy homebrew game jam this year? I'm new to GB studio community and having a lot of fun with it.
@@gnardawgyt apparently the issue is the controller, not the dock, it’s very picky with which controls it uses and the new firmware broke some compatibility… so frustrating! It plays fine for a few mins then just keeps disconnecting
@RetroBreak I worry about updating any of my stuff for this very reason! Such bad luck you've had with firmware and OS updates lately, hope that all gets sorted soon. :)

Loved the format of this video. I am not even a retro gamer but find your enthusiasm compulsive viewing!

Great to get another video, 13 days felt like a long time. Appreciate your effort
Thanks for your patience! I’ve been frustrated I couldn’t upload more often! Hopefully things will be back to normal soon :D
David Wise?! Ah man is a music legend. Glad you got to meet them and it was fulfilling.

I did get some more footage of it so I might make a short “first impressions” video :) overall I’m pretty impressed

Thank you tomGPT
@RetroBreak haha! Touche! :) good luck with the videos - the plans sound great!
Great to hear you had such a good MCM x EGX, as well as made to Hatsune Miku Expo.
Maybe Retro Breaktime? Great vid.
What makes you upgrade to RetroTink 4K? Are you dissatisfied with Morph?

No worries! We are planning a new jam for 2025 :) not sure when it’s going to be yet though sorry
@@RetroBreakI look forward to it!
How do I subscribe twice so I don't miss your cool content ideas ?
Are you going Japan alone? Let me know if you're open to guests coming along.
That sounds incredibly frustrating! Maybe you can get a new dock that won't fail on you. :/
