That was a great video thank you. Whoever came up with the backpack blower is borderline genius.😂
It works quick and good
I love these burning videos and outdoor videos. Our wildlfe group here in NC is starting to do some yearly burns tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.
That’s pretty cool, be safe.
Mighty job Tim, You are some Man for one Man💯👌👍🙏🙂
Miss prescribed burning. Burned a bunch when I worked with Georgia Forestry.
Love these kind of vids ! Thanks 👍
Glad you like them 👍🏻
I am amazed by what I learn on your chanel. I would be afraid to do this even if I had an army of forestry fire fighters with me. I totally agree with why it's done and it leaves behind a healthier forest. That's amazing you do this by yourself. Great job!
That was pretty wild Tim, thanks for sharing.
Yall could easily do that on your place
I know, need to look into it more. Not comfortable doing it myself.
We made a homemade drip torch using a spray rig tank, fuel pump and a drip torch tip from Forestry Suppliers. I think you would enjoy having one. It’s much easier than holding that torch out and driving.
That would make it a lot more fun.
The sun through the trees was a great shot have a great evening
Sometime in the far distant future might look at something like Woods Equipment's new single wing 'lightweight' 10 foot mower (3 inch vegetation diameter rating, 45 hp pto minimum), a wider mower (with one fold up side) can get through narrow gateways to fields and could mow briars and short pine regeneration on the side of the forest tracks.
FIRE CAN NEVER BE REPLACED.
Great video Tim! I enjoyed it. Love the outdoors.
Glad you enjoyed it
Pretty cool, but also scary.
Great controlled burn Tim great video thanks I just don't like fire been trapped in one scares the Dickens out of me
You think that helps any on the pine bettle issues? They bad down here around the Jackson/ Rez area
Are you setting these fires to move with the wind, against the wind... or do you have enough trails around the sections to burn you don't let that dictate...you just let it burn and then catch it /put it out on the back side?
I answered every one of those questions in the video.
Absolutely beautiful country
what precautions do you take to prevent a problem eg a sudden wind or spread?
There are 3 types of Singers....Those who can , Those that Think they Can and Those that Shouldn't. You definitely fall into one of those....You figure that one out.
🤣🤣🤣
RX Prescribed Fire for a healthy forest! 🌳
Yes sir
Great video and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Good job Tim
Kind of a strange question I suppose, but what is the goal for the timber? I see its been thinned already. I guess to simplify, will it be cut again when most of it can marketed as poles or logs?
That is correct.
What a beautiful piece of land
I might would take you hunting lol
What sort of fire suppression system do you have in case of a hotspot or flareup?
Why not make an attachment to hold the torch out for you. You can make it tip over and trigger while you drive more carefully without catching briers.
The deer and turkeys will be back in there soon as it cools down and they will tear it up scrounging around to eat the stuff that was underneath the over growth.
I could ask 100 questions....well maybe 15😁
Awesome Job!!
Thanks 🔥👍🏻
You forgot to show us the night time drone shots.
Love burning woods, my favorite task for land management
It’s the most inexpensive tool in the box. I love to smell a good rich pine going.
Very interesting video .
Glad you enjoyed it
Cotontop3 "THE TORCH"
When you switch over to EV’s you can sneak up on those scratching turkeys better.
So the trees won't catch fire?
No sir, it doesn’t bother the trees at all.
Thanks, I really didn't know that. That blower is a great idea as well.@@cotontop3
Would doing this hurt deer cover for next year
It’ll have new growth for cover through this spring and summer. The deer love it.
Are you try just rid of the under growth and pine staw. Generate new food growth
Yes
👍
Doesn't look like it knocked the stickers back much.
Turks will be in there asap. Thanks for the video.
You’re right
