Unblocking the files worked for me. That helped me finally get Solidworks uninstalled. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out how to uninstall it, because the install manager was blank. Thanks a lot. It worked.
I couldn't see the unblock option as noted in this video till I did the following (note: I was under employee's log in): -logged in as my admin, instead of the employee's log in -unzipped the files into a folder in the desktop -checked the noted files here in the video and finally was able to check the unblock box (didn't show under empoyee's log in) -went back to the employee's log in -went to my admin folder under users proceeding to where I unzipped the app -proceeded to 'setup.exe' with install manager showing all options. Best of luck folks. I do hope this helps!
Hi, I have a black screen on my installer. The text is there if I highlight it with my mouse but I am unable to read anything without doing that. I have tried going to properties, but mine doesn't have the option of unblocking anything. What am I missing?

At the very least I would recomending rebooting your system and trying again. If you are still seeing nothing happen when running the setup.exe as admin please contact your VAR's technical support team for more specific help. You can also try our community forums here community.goengineer.com/ TO see if anyone else has seen the same issue.
Sarmad, The unblock option is only available for compressed files or individual files. If you are copying an uncompressed file set there is not an option to unblock them all after the fact you would have to go through each file individually. You're quickest option is going to be download a fresh set of install files in order to unblock them properly.
@@goengineer Sir I have rar file and I downloaded it from Get into pc website ... I was already using Solidworks but actually i had to reset my pc and now I'm having trouble installing Solidworks.
@@sarmadkhan766 I am unfamiliar with "get into PC" as a service and I am not sure how that might complicate the process. It sounds like the best next step would be to get in contact with your Reseller for direct support.

What do I do if I want to uninstall but i'm getting this problem? idk where that zip file is, i installed it 3 years ago
Go to the windows control panel>programs and features> select Solidworks and click the uninstall button
