It's great this mini-film is being passed on! But I see the last few seconds have been lopped off, which is a pity, as it honoured the person who made this film and whose warm voice you can hear in the commentary: Peter Armstrong of EmpathyMedia.org. If you want to see the whole, inspiring film of which this is a small part, it will be launched in autumn 2019, entitled The Sequel.
I think a lot about the emergence of the Industrial Revolution and capitalism. It seems to me that capitalism will not be able to exist without fossil fuel. Fossil fuel subjects the Earth to unhealthy conditions where as something besides capitalism would respect the nature of the planet and go With it. I think at a high enough level of Technology, we are earth-conscious again. I just spent time as an usher at an event that took place at a local theater in which they kept referring to things as the economic ecosystem. I realized that they were artificially or kind of perversely trying to understand life in those terms, and I also realized they were very capitalistic as opposed to communal or perhaps even organismistic in their thinking. I wrote this last night after getting home from the event: There is no capitalistic system without fossil fuel.
