Thank you for this video of Norfolk Southern trains crossing the TENNBridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jaw Tooth! The trains crossing the bridge looked spectacular. It was great to see the Norfolk Southern Nicle; Plate Heritage unit on one of the trains, The Nickel Plate Heritage unit is one of more elusive Norfolk Southern Heritage units. That was a nice horn salute from the engineer on the last train across the TENNbridge that you caught in the twilight. (POsted 13 August 2024 at 2145 CDT.)
Another awesome video JT and I’m glad you and Scott had a good time while y’all were down there and I hope y’all caught a lot of trains but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Great train action in Chattanooga TN with six awesome trains crossing on the long bridge near the big dam over the nice Tennessee River that was really awesome, as always the amazing live action pets dogs and cats playing and the music slide show Thank You Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I like them, they're awesome, I already uploaded the video of mine, that has both the NS 178 and the NS 955 OCS, a passenger train in Miamisburg, Ohio, in both short and long video, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
I camped at the Tennessee gorge just above Chattanooga on the ten River. You had to go into Chattanooga and then it's a 20 mile ride around behind it to get up there. Beautiful place. Way up in the hills, no cell service. Theres gaps in the rock when your hiking on the trails, only a foot wide or so. Just enough to get a foot stuck in, or fall into one and get wedged. You can see daylight in them gaps, like there's nothing but sky below you. Cuz there is. The ledge only 20 feet away.
I live in a relatively flat area in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am intimidated by just what you describe. I visited my sister in Crossvile and that area had some nice vistas. God Bless.
I don’t know how you cope with the hot weather JT, we have had a couple of days in the high 80s and it flattens me! Makes me appreciate your filming all the more! You and Gambit sure put some great videos on here.
Nice view of the train and the bridge. Blue herons are cool. A salute!!👍 i bet he watches your channel so later he can see himself over the bridge.coool! Live action pets tug o war lol..black panther is hilarious😂 he has his paws planted on the rear then he gets the tail.. then has to run!😂 they all play so well together!🐈⬛🖤🐶 cool video JT thanks
Lots of cool railroad stuff in Chattanooga! Don't miss the Tennessee Valley Railway Museum. Great place, tons of great trains. Thanks for sharing! My birthday is the 19th. Stay safe out there and God bless!
JT, you should point out that the steel coil cars with covers are for cold rolled steel while uncovered coil cars are for hot rolled coils. That's why you see both types in one train.
Big trestle, only Kenova and high bridge beat. A horn salute🎉🎉 nice and a heritage engine! Good long trains. Snakes don't scare me, but there venom does. Spiders now scare the hell out of me. I put a wolf spider out of the my house last night. Live and let live. As long as they stay off me. Thanks for the shout out and the video Brian stay well roll on
Thanks for watching Mark! Thanks for the Super Chats support also! Wolf spiders really do freak me out. I saw a lot of them when I inspected sewage systems. We get one here or there in the house and I usually use a box to get them out. Thanks again for your support!
Brian, you were literally in my childhood backyard. I was born and raised about 5 miles north of where you were recording from. As a child in the late 1950s through the mid 1960s, my dad and I fished on both sides of the river downstream and upstream of Chickamauga Dam. I watched many a train cross that bridge. The huge ongoing project to lengthen the shipping locks has completely changed the site from what it was like when I was a child. Tenbridge was constructed more than 20 years before Chickamauga Dam and locks and the lift span was installed to permit river traffic to continue operating during times of high water when the river neared flood stage. If Chickamauga Dam and locks had been in place BEFORE Tenbridge was constructed, the lift span would probably not have been featured because the dam prevented the water downstream from reaching the point where river traffic couldn't pass under the bridge. I only saw the lift span raised 1 time and that time was only a scheduled test, never saw the span raised due to high water (as it was built for).
@@JawTooth Great! I will have some personal memories of my visits to Southern's Citico Yard (later renamed for Harry A. DeButts) hump control facility to share with you.
I believe one of the boxcar mottos was Look South. Look Southern. Sadly the South gets overlooked a lot on the railroad scene. While this bridge doesn't have the unique design of High Bridge ot the sheer heavy duty look of Kenova this is a neat bridge for its day and does not look its age. A nice quiet place to sit and watch the trains and just The View of the large Bridge actually dwarfed by the Lock and Dam plus the high tension lines coming out of it for electric power just makes for a great combination. Too bad the lift doesn't work otherwise it would be like going to Burlington IA. Plenty of freight activity and some great lighting on their consists. JT has never met a bridge he doesn't like and enjoys sharing his findings with the viewers
What am awesome view on that bridge. Cool!😊 That big dam was interesting. Really big. It feels like we're there with you on this trip ,Mr JT.❤ Thanks. Will watch this one again on ROKU TV. ❤😊I love hearing your horn salutes you receive. No fur babies to view? Aww😮
Super awesome video! I enjoyed watching your amazing content. Thanks, JawTooth my Friend!! Franklin D R. I love seeing that Nickel Plate Road locomotive, what a sight! Also, you got a fine horn salute in that video, Jaw Tooth, well done from Anthony in Australia.
I've done a lot of catfishing there. The path you're on is about 28 miles long, and you can take it all the way to downtown, where it comes out near the Incline. I ride my bicycle there often-it's beautiful. Nice video.

Northbound train either started at the yard or it may be running through. DeButts Yard is just south of the river and dam. Below the dam is the Nickajack Lake section of the Tennessee River. Above the dam is Lake Chickamauga.
