This is the first time I've seen Mahira like this. It was like she was ready, ready to share her story. She shared so openly. So raw, unfiltered and beautiful. We love you Mahira!
Love u Mahira! Sending prayers and so positive energy ur way. Dealt with the worst type of depression for years and hv been on pills for more then 10 years. But I can’t find a single Phychologist or psychiatrist that would get me off or give me the kind of sessions I think a pro should! Please tell me who to go to in Lahore? Hugsss
She’s really good at speaking. Her storytelling is amazing. Calling her mother gorgeous, a dreamer, romantic, nice, looking at life with rose tinted glasses… ahhhh, love how she describes things. ♥️
What? Her weak vocabulary makes her a good story teller? How? She always runs out of words.
@@Salmanaseh I run out of words too, quite a lot actually. I have so much brain fog, so I guess anyone better than me at speaking will be noticeable to me 😂
Exactly, she is confused and false.
Stop hating 😂😂😂😂😂
Beautiful and brains thank u my aapi ❤❤❤❤
No one is talking how good the host is....she is sooo humble and let Mk talk her heart...many thanks to her❤
Honestly this is one of the best podcasts ever. Fariha did exceptionally well. She listened, didn't interrupt, didn't cut her guest off and look how she made her guest so comfortable that she shared her soul's pain with us. Thank you mahira for your excellent sharing
On the off chance that you’re reading this Mahira, I can’t thank you enough for opening up on your journey with mental health. Depression is a beast, and it helps to know there’s no shame in being vulnerable. Thank you for being a glimmer of hope for so many ❤
She is not being vulnerable, she has hid a lot and does not show the full picture. Always a victim card with people like this. There is very much so a lot of alcohol and drugs involved in her lifestyle including abuse in partnerships. Her child goes to school with mine and we see it all unfolding. I only wish our celebrities especially the ones who are our representation would be honest to their fan base.
@@SameeraJunaidI have always felt that she lies a lot in interviews. Hopefully, her son is being raised in a good environment. From what I can gauge from this interview, her child has seen everything since he was 2 years old, which is quite young.
@@SameeraJunaidI agree with you and your analysis is spot on but this abuse in relationship and drugs doesn’t sit with me. She smokes but not drugs and she has a partner for a long time along with an amazing support system which is very helpful. So the point is there is no abuse in her relationships.
@@nabiharaissince her child goes to the same school as Mahira’s son, maybe she knows something that we don’t. Honestly, it’s not uncommon to take drugs in the entertainment industry.
@@SameeraJunaidyou sound like the typical school gossiping mum! maybe your life is so lacklustre that you get high on slagging others! Whether she takes drugs, alcohol or not is not your business, you are not paying for her, and nor her sons upkeep! It’s not easy to be in the lime light and this woman has at least learnt to support herself, and put Pakistani dramas on the radar for those of us not from your culture! What have you ever achieved? No wonder independent women in your country have such a difficult time surviving with little petty women like you waiting to cut them down!
I don't know how to put it in words... I arrived home after a hectic day at work, sat down and had an urge to watch Mahira's interview. I opened TH-cam and the first thing I saw was this video. I was so happy. I watched, I smiled, I dreamed and I teared up over the course of this podcast. This conversation came right from the heart and touched my soul. It was raw, inspiring and real. I send my love from India ❤️ I can't say more but an earnest thank you ❤️ for this ❤️
When she talked about her depression and Frieha emphasized how okay and real it is across classes and races- THAT will help so so many people ❤ we need to de stigmatize mental illness. It’s so real , it HAS a solution , and we need to make sure people feel okay to speak up about it! You guys are doing amazing work!!!❤ and THANK you THANK YOU mahira for doing so much charity for the world .
What a pure soul mannn...the way she still discusses her ex husband and ex inlaws with sooo much love and respect is something sooo rare to see nowadays....tells what a women she is🥺🥹
The host keeps jumping topics and timelines. Kudos to Mahira for staying on track of her own life story
This was such a delight! Been wanting to hear MK on a podcast forever! Thank you, Mahira, for sharing your life story and struggle with depression. It was inspiring and fun to hear about your teenage journey and how that honed your work ethics. We know that you usually don't open up on personal struggles, therefore, we understand how hard it is to be vulnerable in front of the world, yet you did it with purity and earnestly. You offered hope and faith to those who are going through depression and may find it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Anti-depressants can have terrible withdrawal symptoms; I wish we could have alternative options to manage our symptoms. As a MK fan and well wisher, it wasn't easy to hear you talk about these things; our heart goes out to you for all those times when you were in pain but put up a brave front in public. You don't stop being kind despite everything you went through and the scrutiny, even when it gets exhausting. And, that's what sets you apart from everyone else, and that's why God has blessed you with so much success because you always wish well and do not hurt others. You are a rare human being! We love you and always pray for you! May Allah SWT make things easy for you, and may you continue entertaining us for years, IA. On a side note, you are a very good storyteller who always looks ethereal and stunning! mA. ☺🌻☺
❤❤❤❤ thankyou 1:19
Depression is like another illness and its treatable and ppl can live a successful bright life. Thank you for being so open and honest and hopful. I am a registered psychiatrist nurse and DBT trained . Woking for yrs in Canada. My nursing degree is from UK, where I worked as a registered nurse too.
Hate is such a huge word ....how can someone even dislike her??? Cried my heart out at sooo many instances during this ...may god bless her with infinite sucess ameen❤✨
Ameen
I love her. I don't know why she says that her parents came from India when the truth is Pathans/ Pashtuns are either from the KPK province of Pakistan or from Afghanistan and not from India.
Coz sje is urdu speaking, not pakhtun

Uff Mahira!!! You won us again. Why are you the sweetest? All you have gone through was your journey but yk how much it will help others to reimagine fam and their opinions towards oublic figures. I love you even more today. Thank you for being what you are. Stay strong Khirad ❤
A honest and brave podcast… one could see Mahira hesitate before sharing her mental health struggle…. And one can totally understand why -she has a lot riding on her … therefore it’s such a brave move. Kudos to her.. hope the outpouring of love and appreciation I am reading here heals her and frees her..
Amazing woman! the one constant whenever I watch Mahiras interviews is her positivity and good upbringing… bahut naazon aur pyaar se pali hain! Yet she is not selfish or spoilt. That warmth and genuine ness is her most attractive feature and wonderful to witness
I discovered Mahira when humsafar was airing but became a fan post that seeing her humility and humanity. Used to have so many discussions on her craft and persona on select drama forums constituting of thinking women across the globe.. at times Mahira too would drop in a comment or two .. those were good times- much before the current social media mayhem … it’s good to see how she has not only kept up but moved with the times pioneering innovation and producing good content be it mashion or her PH. Power on M!
Love from India
Thank you for speaking about your struggle with depression. You have no idea how many people you have unknowingly helped by sharing this. Wishing you more power
Such a beautiful interview! Kudos to you, Mahira! You are one hell of a woman! As someone who's gone through mental illness (still an ongoing journey ofc), I know how hard it is and how hard it is to talk about it. Rooting for you always! May god bless you! Sending you all the love from India!
I’ve heard Many celebrities talk about mental illnesses & their mental health.. they talk about the dark place , the therapy, which is sort of an umbrella term and when they say it, the word sounds glamorous & elite & that’s it. I get part of why they don’t want to get into the details, maybe it’s triggering to them or maybe they’re afraid of being labelled as unstable. But Mahira has got to be the only celebrity who in my opinion has touched base on how messy & ugly depression is, or how daunting it is to find the right therapist for you and more importantly how the anti depressants affect your mood, and you develop a love-hate relationship with the treatment. She literally named her diagnosis as given to her by her therapist, which I think is super brave. Many people won’t talk about it. This will give strength to those suffering in silence to go out and get help. That it is okay to talk about it with your people. Panic attack/disorder, anxiety, depression are all treatable symptoms and one should never hesitate to take help.
I’ve been there and I could relate to everything she experienced.
Mahira & Frieha -thank you for holding this conversation with compassion, empathy and love. The sensitive approach of Frieha in asking the questions, and the courage of Mahira to share her vulnerable moments with openness is truly admirable.
Thank you & Best Wishes for FWHY 🎉
I have tears listening and totally understanding what she must have gone through as I am also a depression patient..
Whenever I am in the saddest phase of my life, I listen to Mahira's voice and see her and I am alive again... She has such powers to heal and comfort souls....She is divine ❤
Shame on u
True
❤❤❤❤
I usually never take out the time to write a comment but Mahira khan is the only woman i could listen to for 2 uninterrupted hours straight. This made me feel inspired. It made me cry and inevitably just give her a hug and have a good conversation with her. That's the dream.
Mahira has some kind of grace that nobody can resist.. she is such a good person that reflects in her personality.. she is definitely one of a kind, that what makes her different and a true star❤️
Wow thanks Mahira for bringing this up! Mental health is a real illness that needs to be treated just like physical illness! Im a hijabi/niqabi woman and though i do not claim to be a better muslim than anyone else but i am sure mental illness or depression does not reflect that one is a lesser believer! Bravo ! Not everyone is courageous enough to show to the world their most vulnerable side! ❤️
Such a refreshing podcast . The podcaster is connecting at a familiar & more importantly at such a human level . Mahira is such a beautiful soul . A strong woman who depends on no one but herself but who’s so self aware . Much love from 🇮🇳
24:42 teared me up 🥲 how amazing to have someone who believes in your dreams that hard ❤
she's something else! nobody like Mahira Khan in Pakistan! ❤
Love from India 🇮🇳 Humsafar n Raees were truly unforgettable
Oh gosh i feel so sorry for Mahira. When she was talking about her first love, marraige and the divorce. It was painful. She loved that guy. You can see it in her eyes.
I am also happy that she found the love again in her life.
May she always stays happy ❤
Aameen summa aameen ❤
She’s a sweet woman, and she spoke of some very important issues.
As someone who was born and raised in the west, her story of working since being a teen is pretty common for us. Most people I know have worked all throughout high school, plus they go to school, keep up their grades to maintain scholarships, play sports….so her story is very common. So it’s not her journey that’s different, it’s just destiny was on her side.
The statement over not being able to change the way she looks or look different in roles is such a cop out.
Hopefully my comment won’t be removed as the comments on this podcast look carefully curated. 🤔
I dont know why I cried watching this - thanks for putting this up. Mahira is so pure and honest.
There’s something about mahirah that just resonates w you. Shes so dignified and the way she presents her authentic self, uff. Love her!
Wonderful interview! So honest and heartfelt. Great to see her break the stigma and speak about her mental health struggles. Kudos!
1:07:00 omg I love that. I am a british pakistani care assistant and I have thought I wonder how people cope in Pakistan. It is not easy to look after an old person and work and look after your kids. So many old people aren't treated well by their own families so I wonder how people cope when it isn't as common in Pakistan. Some people face abuse at the hands of their own children and family. Great initiative on recognising this issue on Mahira Khans part ❤
This is the first interview of Mahira's that I've enjoyed watching. She has been open and genuine and she has said it all. That has humanized her for everyone. Thank you for sharing everything sooo much from your heart.
I love how she's being respectful towards her ex and not presenting him as a villian.
Even if she had said something negative about him Its not your place to talk about or give opinion on it You know nothing about what she went through in that marriage
Thank you Mahira for being so real. U don’t even realize how much ur helping women who also faced anxiety living normal lives. If a star like u can have it and face it with so much grace, so can we 👍 u have done so much nayki by being honest to us, thank you may Allah be with u always ❤
She’s such a good human. May god bless her with the best of everything in her life
Sometimes its like the interviewer is not connecting with what the other person is talking about but i just loved the way Feeha hasn’t just connected with MK but also consoled her, shows her the true light where she felt low, all the praises and alot more. Feeha 🫶 Mahira❤️
She is so old school🫶🏽
I love it 💌
Good show.. 👏👏 just a piece of advice to the editors that please make chapters so it’s easy to locate the topic what Fariha talking to the guests .. thanks so much 🙏

Wow!! That’s so great I was wondering that how could a person like Fariha not organized.. cheers 👍🙏
Mahira is pure love❤.she is unadulterated.great human being.
A very engaging and eloquent guest on this podcast I have always been a fan and think Mahira is a wonderful actress and loved all her work but today my respect for her has increased manyfold by such a brutally honest account of life’s ups and downs . I feel she has touched on such an important topic of mental illness which is such a taboo in our culture so talking about it and admitting her struggle with it must have been a relief for so many woman and such a great help in encouraging women to get help and support. What an amazing and kind woman you are Mahira Khan whilst all the time as vulnerable as any woman . I look forward to your involvement in the causes that you mentioned that are dear to your heart You will surely make a difference .
She is really so good in speaking and so down to earth and well mannered don’t know why people talk negative about her All the best for future
Her childhood story of big loving family n dad n mum relationship and her wanting to work so hard but not wanting to go back to that lovely cocoon she had come from Doesn't add up at all. Seems that she had created in her mind a picture of a perfect family, which is so sad because no one needs to judge her
Most amazing beautiful interview ever. Mahira is so down to earth and grounded. Talking about mental health, ups and downs in courageous in spite of knowing that audience will criticise and troll her.
Thank you for voicing your most vulnerable side. It takes alot for a person at your position to do that. I feel seen and validated.
I am so proud of you Mahira for talking about mental health. I am a psychiatrist in US and there were 2 murder suicides with in a week in our city. One of them was a Muslim family. I see so much stigma around seeking help for mental health issues. You are the ray of hope for killing the stigma and to bring courage for people who are struggling with depression and anxiety. I thank you as a professional. Recently Ivanka Trump talked about postpartum depression and Michelle Obama talked about her depression. You have taken a big step 👏🏼❤️💕
I've watched a full podcast... You're such a strong & never giving up,kind & humble woman...What a great storyteller...I can understand every word you said...Lots of prayers for uh...Stay just the way you are...Allah is always with you ❤
P.S: I started liking you since bol & humsafar & than i've watched all ur dramas...& my friends used to tell me you look a bit like mahira khan so it was a compliment for me❤️
Mahira I love you so much. Thank you for revealing your struggle with depression. It makes me feel less alone. You are a gem, I have always loved you and always will. You are a light, pure pure light.
Yes we all love Mahira khan ❤ but i have to stop the interview mid way to praise Frieha how she is holding conversation with empathy and kindness. No cutting conversation of guest, No stupid questions, not getting personal or any of sort. Love it ❤ Thankyou
I love Mahira, she has a very strong Aura but Fareeha has amazed me.
After watching this podcast, I can say Fareeha has done an excellent job.
The way you conducted the podcast is superb…you rock
This was so heart touching and I feel so normal now after hearing her story unfiltered Thankyou Mahira for opening up it means the world
Mahira and i are the same age and as an indian..we always knew living in Europe Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan are famous household names of Pakista. Loved her story and her honesty...She is a living legend and i enjoy her work till date! Love and blessings for her and her family! Keep going Mahira! You are goood the way you are
Its so magical listening to her and she knows how to gather attention when she's talking. Really like how she keeps herself around people (which says a lot about her personality throughout as well) what a genuine human being 🙌
She's just a authentic & admirable & it's like a therapy to listen to her. The more Iisten to her & see her the more I admire & respect her. An ideal person such an inspiration. She's truly the biggest superstar of this generation ❤
Great interview and it’s good that figure like Mahira is talking about mental health. It’s really time that people should realize that depression is just like any other illness and there is no harm in getting it treated
I love her so much; I can listen to her talk for as long as possible. I cried, smiled, and was in awe at how can someone be so beautiful yet attractive and just adorable!
A true superstar.
Thank you, Feeha, for doing this interview 💓
Fell in love with every single element of this podcast - from the host's deep understanding to the guest's eloquent and heartfelt sharing of their amazing journey.
Absolutely captivating and lovely interview with the beautiful soul inside out! Just ❤️ Mahira for being so transparent and humble! Much love n prayers for her wellbeing.
... woah!!! ... that's Mahira ... pretty & deep to talk of her depression...first time heard of her today. .I just chanced upon the conversation...& was spellbound...a learning experience...God Bless!!!
What a woman she is❤
A reason we love her ❤
I've learned so many things from this podcast. Mahira has taught me to dream big and to believe in myself. Her story is so inspiring how she started working in a young age and all the hardship and accomplishments she had are incredible. I tried at the end of it when she spoke about her nanis story. May Allah grant her Jannah. Mahira is a strong woman may Allah bless her.
I remember meeting you in mumbai at zara and for the 19 year old me that was my dream come true ! You were and still are my fav Pakistani actress and you will be ❤ only love and light to you ❤
Two powerful women, looking absolutely stunning. Mahira is such a nice person. She us beautiful inside and out. She may have been lucky with her looks and personality to achieve what she has but she should be proud of it that Allah has blessed her with these. She has had her own shared of struggles through life which i can relate with having moved abroad at a young age ( older than her). Life is daunting when you suddenly move out of a protective environment. She is such a role model for young and older girls. More power to you Mahira. ♥️
Why would allah bless her with haram success??? Please leave islam out of this. She does haram and promotes haram
She's so similar to me. So so relatable. The thing she mentioned about comfort and her people. It hit me so much
It takes a lot of courage to talk about all that you did knowing the next day headlines will be about this... I wish you strength love and light in your life.. take care!!!
Thank you so much for opening about your depression. You don't even know how much of help its gonna be to a lot of people.
It takes a lot of courage to open up about your struggles and being her fan for the last 12 years this is the first time I’m seeing her so unfiltered. It shows somewhere she is healing and I love that she has her people who support and love her unconditionally 💗 Mahira you are and you will always be asmaan ka sab se roshan aur chamakta sitara
You both did very well in that show, which was amazing to listen to. Both of you were so mature, sensible, and well-mannered. Mahira deserves all the best things in her life; she's the most down-to-earth person I've ever seen. Everything she does always seems so classic, and that show was literally worth watching. ❤❤❤
Hi Mahira sweetie, eveyone suffers from anxiety disorder. At some stage in our daily life, we may face fear or panic. No one can say that it didn't happen to them. It might have not yet, but it will. Do not look at it as a disorder or illness - we were all created to love, hate, fear, panic, be scared - its natural behaviour. You are so beautiful, talented, blessed - just be shukar ghuzar to Allah talah. "Ignore negative people, you worked hard for your success - not a nepotism case. Take negativity with a grain of salt". There's more people that love you than hate you. Lots of love from South Africa.
Now i understand why some of her interviews she was not able to speak in full sentences.. this shows everybody is going to some internal struggle...and why we should all be kind
Uff mahira, no actress in the world can even touch ur grace, Intellect and mostly ur kind heart and mind ❤
Such a captivating talk. Mahira's voice is so convincing to watch every single minute of the podcast.
She is so well behaved MashaAllah ❤️❤️
What an amazing interview love Freha a legend and love the way Mahira carry herself. Beautiful souls!!! Specially when Mahira spoke about old people ❤
One of the best interviews. I guess the only one where she's so open about herself and her life! ❤❤❤
I can listen to her all day. Such a graceful, poised and a dignified woman! More power to you Mahira!!!❤️
Absolutely vulnerable real and authentic . That’s mahira ! I LOVE this podcast! Thank you for this!!!!❤❤
It’s first interview which I listened alone, without fast forward. I learned a lot. Everything seems so common just like we common people go through in our life. But we dream about people of other class. It’s so important to know real struggle , failure and success etc for the people who impact in our life . Thanks again for sharing all details, ❤
Looks like Mahira’s dad and I have the same taste in music, big Joplin fan,and rock concerts! An insightful interview! a thank you!
Such a lovely podcast, and it's always mesmerizing listening to Mahira... She is the purest soul sent by Allah..... She is something beyond words ... extraordinary ❤
I love her. I love love her. I mean love, respect, and look up to her. not for the work she has done for the entertainment industry but for her being an amazing human being.
Wonderful interview! Mahira Khan is a talented person with a genuine heart. I wish both ladies only the best.
The kind of love fareeha altaf has for mahira, it shows in her eyes❤
Such a sweet and descent lady. She has nawab family style of speaking
Amazing Mahira Khan ! Your’e the best. This is the first time , I have seen her open up about herself ! So brave of you Mahira. Truly, you are and incredible actress and more importantly you are beautiful inside and out. Keep shining Mahira, God bless you always. You are definitely Pakistan’s sweetheart! Lots of love from a die hard Singapore fan. ❤❤❤❤

Wow what an amazing interview! Really loved heart to heart conversation between you too and it appears Mahira felt like it was a safe zone to talk about things she has never spoken about before, thanks to you Frieha! ❤
It was a really good podcast! For the first time I feel Mahira was her truest self. She’s always herself but this was real.
One of your best podcast...
MAHIRA IS THE SWEETEST GIRL ON THIS PLANET PERIOD❤❤❤❤❤
She is so so pretty! 😍🥹
Mahira is such a beautiful person. With the most gorgeous face and the charismatic personality. She is humble and kind and sweet. I remember when we used to watch her show on MTV when she was VJ and i loooooooveddddd her!!!!!! And i loooooooved her hair. She had such long hair at that time. I wish her all the love and success of the world.
Okay now this was actually very good and refreshing, the flow of the conversation and the content. Loved it
Frieha, you say things I have always believed in. Like insecure nations produce insecure people. Hence, they go on to rip apart people's potentials. Also, your compassion shines in every interview. It's never your podcast guests I am interested in. It's what you ask and then articulate it back to them. You make me proud of being a woman in this hard country. A woman who had a tough journey but found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. May our tribe shine always!
Mahira
Thannnnnk you so much
By opening your heart to us
Thank you for talking about your struggle depression
Lot of us have also gone

Loved the conversation. Amazing host and an elegant guest ❤
"Jo mera he woh mera hi rahega" was one of the best dialogue ever played by any female actress in Asia. Love Mahira
She is so pure! MashaAllah❤️🥹
