I jumped double dutch as an inner city kid in the 60's. We had chants to go along with the jump. Cinderella dressed in yella climbed upstairs to kiss a fella by mistake she kissed a snake how many doctors will it take? Then we would start counting from one. Sometimes we would get to 30 0r 40 clean jumps. We were only six and seven years old. Great childhood memories. Schoolyard on the blacktop.

Brings me back to elementary school, watching the girls double Dutch before school started...guys could never get the timing down and we'd get whacked by the rope lol it was awesome watching and the songs they'd sing, I wonder where they are now...
Is there a DD Team in Philadelphia or surrounding suburbs i personally have 6 granddaughters ages 8 to 11 and are very competitive I'm hoping something or someone may be interested in developing such an outlet for the young ladies of PA

Some people pour millions of dollars into exercise, programs and equipment and cannot create even half of the strength, flexibility, community, and fun that these young people did with JUST A ROPE. Watch out because these are the movers and shakers, dreamers and doers. If they can accomplish this, there is no telling what other great things they will do!
