Great catch up video, thanks Jane. I don't have clutter really as I embraced Marie Kondo several years ago and I've really never gone back - it really was life changing. Mind you, you would never come in to my house and think, ooh a disciple of a Japanese tidying guru lives here, it's very comfortable and lived in kinda place but everything does have a place and I'm good at dealing with things quickly and not letting it pile up. It's become a habit now and I definitely didn't grow up like that. I'm on the Slimming World journey so carbs are in, sugar and fat are out but I feel so much better when I get good nutrition - I think that's really what it is, less of the cr*p and more of the good stuff - definitely less processed non food. Just got a free audible trial so might try the Kate Morton, looking for a good read. Thanks for all the videos and look forward to double dose of your fun and frugal goings on in 2024. When I went low carb / keto I worried that my food bill would go up but actually it’s gone down. I’m not buying all the ultra processed rubbish and I’m eating really good food and staying fuller for longer (the fat intake has been life changing for me)

Yes,Jane, I get stressed too if the house isn't clean and tidy. I packed away the Christmas decorations on Saturday while I had the house to myself and felt so much happier afterwards 😊 Now I just need to sort drawers and wardrobes out!
I sat in my sewing room before Christmas nearly cried . I was completely overwhelmed by all the STUFF! I've not had a good time healthwise and as a consequence the ironing is piling up on the spare bed , there's card making bits all over everywhere pillows and clothing that needs sorting and boxes full of stuff that could be better utilised . The after Christmas period is very much an anti climax for me and because of grief I hate New Year so it's usually bottoms up and me like a rabbit burrowing under stuff and chucking out everything I don't need . So here goes !!. Happy New Year to you all 🍸🍺xx

I recently decluttered our garage 10 years worth of rubbish…. A big tip run and the garage looks okay now as we use it for storage as we live in a low space storage ground floor flat. This is when I decided not to buy anything I don’t need anymore along with hubby and son x
I had a good clear out and reset the house on Wednesday when I had the house to myself - it felt great afterwards. Took down the Christmas tree and packed it all away in the loft earlier today. I’m going to start the New year like you - low spend and low carb xx

They don’t live with me now - their visits tend to be short so I don’t expect them to organise my home. They have their own to keep tidy. Although I have made them take some stuff away
We had a skip at the end of November hubby had stuff to get rid of and we were pretty ruthless, well I was with his stuff 🤣 fast forward to December, I was already one step ahead of the game and prebooked a visit to the local tip on the 27th, (we can’t just turn up where I live we have to book a visit) took the decorations down and put them in the attic, and breath,,, everything back to normal, I honestly can’t remember growing up surrounded by so much “stuff” we never stored “stuff” in the attic, or “stuff” in the garage, do you think we just have too much “stuff” 🤣🤣🤣 I’m sure you’ll get it sorted it’s just a bit overwhelming at the moment, and once it’s done you’ll find you have lots of extra space,,,, to store more “stuff” 🤣
